END OF LADDER SEASON APPROACHES

Yep, it's almost the end of the Battle.net Ladder Season. The final day is on March 31, tomorrow, and the Top 10 Players will be announced early April. "The final day of the Warcraft, Starcraft and Brood War Ladder seasons is upon us. The Top 10 Players from each ladder will be announced in early April. " So now's your last chance to rack up on ladder points.

NEW CINEMATIC SHOT

A little late, but www.blizzard.com has a new cinematic SC up. It's a footman from the ECTS Video released a few months ago. It's nice to see a change from the Diablo II Cinematic shots once in a while.

FIFTH EB BETA WINNER ANNOUNCED

Today the fifth EB Beta recipient was announced: The lucky Chris Grether from Phoenix, Arizona, USA was selected. The closed Beta should get underway soon, so EB should probably be announcing the final 3 tomorrow.

DIABLO II THE CALLING VIDEO

Apparently Bliz will be releasing an official version of the hit mini-movie Diablo II: The Calling, which played in LA theatres last year for about a week. Several sites recently released a copied version of the movie in RealPlayer format, but tomorrow Gamespot will have the exclusive honor of releasing the 40 meg video legitamitely first anywhere for download.

NEW SC SITE

A new site was created a few days ago, and it looks pretty good. The site name is Starcraft Temple, and it can be found at http://sc-temple.net-games.com. They had a few minor bugs earlier, but those have been fixed.

NEW POLL-NANOGIRL VS ZUL REPORT

NWGN:SC has posted an interesting poll asking "In a no holds barred, royal-rumble to the death, which Starcraft webmaster would win?". In the lead is Mutant of Starcraft.org. Our own Iron Wolf is not on there, however. (Aaaw.) Also ArchField of Brassknuckles has informed that he has posted a brand new battle report between NanoGirl and Zul. Zul drew first blood by plowing over a couple of lings who got in the way of his charging zeals. It's a fun read and an interesting battle. WARCRAFT III INTERVIEW

Bill Roper, Sr. Director of Developer Relations with Blizzard Entertainment, will join Sam Donaldson for his regular internet video news program tomorrow afternoon at 12:30 EST. If you miss the live broadcast, do not worry because it will be archived right here. It should be a fairly interesting newscast although I doubt Sammy would be able to evoke anything we have not heard previously. There will also be an interview with Rick Thompson, VP of Microsoft's Games Division, most likely about the X-box. The topic is the future of gaming, so don't expect any WC III X-Box Port News to be revealed.
