How to aim a dish
This seems very hard but if you know these tips , it will become very easy
You'll be able to aim your dish without any instruments !
To start : If you can see the sun at 1:00 pm ( that means there are no trees or buildings which can block
your view to the sun) you can get Astra at 19.2 degrees east .At aproximately 2:16 pm
you'll be able to see the sun at the south position (handy for a motorized dish)
the sun moves 15 degrees an hour from east to west . When you aim your dish , put the tuner on (analoque) move
your dish towards the sun and change the elevation and move the dish a bit
when you get the clearest picture you're ready
When you want to see digital tv on the Astra or Eutelsat first put an analoque tuner on
the LNB and on Astra put the tuner on RTL + VOX or RTL2 (These are the weakest transponders
and aim your dish at one o clock at the sun when you get a spike free picture at these
channels you're ready to put the digital tuner on the LNB
Do the same when you aim the dish on Eutalsat/Hotbird position , but put the analoque tuner on bbc world
or tv 5 these are the weakest transponders at this position . Aim the dish at 1:22 Pm towards
the sun , and move the dish a bit around to get the clearest picture , when done
put the digital tuner on the LNB
for digital Astra use at least a 85 cm dish
and also for the eutelsat
The sun will be at :
1:00 pm 19.2 degrees east Astra
1:22 pm 13 degrees east Eutalsat/Hotbird
2:16 pm south
2:36 pm 5 degrees east telecom
sun moves at 15 degrees an hour
times are in CET
This above worked for me , digital without any disturbance
