likes East17/Tony since S.A.D -1994-when I became totally fan,( but I had heard some of their songs from before and! liked them, without knowing it was them...)..complecated...
why are you a Tony fan because when I saw S.A.D on telly for the first time it was all done. They melt my heart by their fantastic music and great look!

craziest thing you've done for Tony/East17 Erm... that one is quite hard... have done much weird stuff(I guess Britt knows what I am talking about..), haven't got any story, but I can mention some stuff I have done...been kinda bathing outside on John's b.day, bought expensive sweathers and stuff to the guys on their b.days, making bri-burgers and john-pizzacake, going around Norway waiting for them for about 10 hours each time in the frosen Norwegian winters; and one time I went to Oslo (with Britt of course) and waited for hours on Gardemoen(airport) for the lads to land... after a while we called up their record company and found out that their visit was cancelled because the show they should perform on was cancelled...Man, that day really sucked!
your story When I met Anthony in London at the 15th January together with my mates Britt, Evy and Emma.. It was fantastic to finally meet Anthony in person after been seing him in concert and talking to him on the phone...Huge thanx to Britt, Evy and Em for going their with me..(I know you wanted it as much as I did, but you had met him before..)thanx for being their with me and making it one of my best days in my life! It was really dangerous. But it's not the most craziest thing i've done.
your story 14 April 1999, The evening, we decide to go at Tony's to surroundings of 9h. I ring and in the intercom, it is Tony, I ask him if he can come, he tells me he arrives. 5 minutes later, I see him to arrive, my first words have been how is tall. He has spanned a wall and has been found beside us (my mother and me). He has spoken us his professional and private life and also of his projects. We had brought him presents, he was touched and hyper happy. I have asked him if it was possible to take his house in photos, he has made open the door and taken us in his property and we have been able to take photos of his house. I have also made the knowledge of. .. his black cat (it looks like enormously mine and very affectionate). I have seen by far one of his girls, that had to be Atlanta.
As all the best moments have an end, we have left.

craziest thing you've done for Tony/East17 craziest....? Walking out of college because I wanted to go to london instead of going on a college trip to spain. Or..... going to live in London for a year... or ..lemme think... waiting outside in the cold... or maybe it's spending all my time on some webpage about Tony. LOL.
your story my story... it's a long one, but maybe one day i get to finish it. Here the first bit I wrote this back in '96.
How
it all started
December 1994 - June 1995
Their music is GREAT, I love them. Not only the music, I
love everything about
East 17, untill this day I've loved them with my heart
and soul and I always will.
It's difficult to explain how I became a fan of them, but
I will try:
Untill the end off 1994 I wasn't a fan, I wasn't a fan of
anyone.
Their songs were just nice songs to me, like so much
other songs.
But then I heard 'Stay another day', and the words meant
a lot to me.
I won't bother you explaining the story behind that.
I can tell you, I cried at an Xmas-party at school while
this song was played.
The night after the party I dreamt about East 17, singing
on stage at my school
and I was dancing with the lads on stage.
IT WAS A FANTASTIC DREAM ! The first time I had a dream
about this band and there were many more to follow
The next day I went shopping to buy the Steam album, but
it was sold out
everywhere I went.
A few days later I went to Amsterdam and there I bought
the album.
I liked all the songs on Steam, I didn't know most of 'em
before buying it.
Still I wasn't a real fan yet.
I wasn't untill the letting off steam tour, their concert
at the ahoy' arena in
Rotterdam. (2-6-'95).
After buying "Steam" I said: When East 17 ever
come to Holland, for a show, I'll
be there for sure. I was 15 back then.
So time went on, and at a morning I was reading a stupid
newspaper.
I was in a terrible mood, like always in the morning
before I have to go to school.
The newspaper seemed to be boring, but there was one
story wich made me
smile. It was about East 17. They were coming to Holland!!

After we met them at a resting place in Belgium we drove back to germany..at the border I was shitting myself so badly…But at the end they didn’t want to see our passports and that was my luck…

craziest thing you've done for Tony/East17: Ok. In 1995, I still lived in South Africa but I heard East17 was playing in Amsterdam on 17 June so I flew all the way over there just to see the guys!!! I can't believe I did that cos it was my whole lives saving gone! But it was worth it. I never got to meet them though, which was a real let down.

charismatic. he knows what he's doing and he always does it well. It's still hard to say if there's anyone else in
this world who could make such great songs as Anthony can. he's the best songwriter, honestly. he's made a lot of
difference in my life, he's made me happy and he's given me a lot of joy. And i'm not the only one...
favourite East17 tune and why hard to say, honestly, cos i love all of their songs. but i'll say "Gold", 'cos it was the very first song that i heard and the reason why i got into East 17. :) and the song means a lot to me 'cos it tells about anti-materialism. that's what i'm truly into.

Likes East 17/Tony since: Its Alright actually got me payin some attention to the charts for a change, then when iheard Stay Another Day i bought Steam, and thought hell I love this stuff, I was sure that East 17 or at least Tony has some thoughts and feelings in common with me cause the music expressed heaps of my feelings and it was as if i had heard it before or was meant to hear it....seemed to umm, set the spheres spinning..for those who know what im on about..
Why are you a Tony fan: Because im sure we have some stuff in common, the sounds of the music seems to align with the vibes of feelings ive had, no other music hits the mark in the same way, and in all the interviews with Tony he has been spot on in his comments, what he stands for is excellent and im happy someone makes music bout it.
craziest thing you've done for Tony/East17: Hmmm... making the 1st Tony Mortimer page on the internet and maintaining it in the hope that one day it will lead to me meeting Tony or in some way promote Tonys music to new fans or even a record company!
your message to other fans: Keep at it, if you ever doubt Tony and his talents what should you do ? get a good set of earphones and listen to some of his old work ! feel the backbeats and cool sounds Tony has incorporated , listen to his unique messages, and consider how many years it has been since he wrote that wonderful stuff and how much further he will have advanced by now!
