OK the history of LucasArts graphic adventures. In the game screenshots you'll notice a tick, cross or question mark. The key is below: Tick: Yep it did come out on the Mac Cross: Nope it didn't Question mark: Look I'm not perfect I don't know everthing!
The very first point 'n' click game that would spawn a brilliant sequel later. It also spawn a spin off TV series that wasn't so good. 1987
OK so I don't know if it came out for the Mac, I think it didn't. Anyway I had it on my old Amiga and even though I didn't get very far (I was very young) it was still a great game. A bit odd but great all the same. Oh and helluvaname! 1988
It must be difficult to make an adventure game of a film but this title stuck to the film story line brilliantly and it had some butt whipping puzzles. 1989
A bit weird this one. The aim was to use and learn spells (by playing a musical instrument) while saving your mates. Didn't relly work with me. 1990
Yes! the master had arrived. It set the bench mark for adventure games for the next 8 YEARS! Everyone loves Monkey Island it was the best adventure game around until... 1990
...the sequel came out. Built around the same formulae but more of everything: more story, more puzzles, more characters, more Islands, more laughs and MORE REGGAE MUSIC, YEAH! 1991
Another great sequel. With 3 different ways of completing it. Yipppeee...... I can't wait for the infernel machine! 1992
A sequel that's not a sequel? No one rememberd the first one but that didn't matter as it was included FREE with this game. Oh and it is a very good adventure not quite as good as the Monkies but still highly regarded 1993
One of them is a dog and one is a rabbit and they're detectives and it's another weird one!?! But was it made from the cartoon or was the cartoon a spin off! 1993
Three words: Short, funny, hard. With extra added action bits! 1994
Written by Steven Spielberg WHILE he was in his bathroon (the exact location is not known but I'm putting my money with the toilet). To me though it was a disapointment. It wasn't funny and the puzzles just didn't get you interested. And it was the last Mac adventure, nooooooooooooooo! 1995
It looked so good. It smelt so good!?! And we deserved it, putting up with mediocre titles like Full Throttle and The Dig! I can't go on... 1997
Look this is just taking the biscuit, probably their best adventure yet and we don't get it! 10 count 'em 10, advetures we had most of them sold well, some didn't because they were poo (stand up the Dig). This is an insult BUT the future looks bright! 1998
OK so we missed two great titles but now LucasArts are back with the Mac we should expect some more. I wouldn't rule out Grim Fandango 2, after it's massive success and if not that then LA are bound to make another adventure. All we have to is wait and listen...
