Dezgra Medallions to be handed out in 2 days.

Ok, guys. I am going to give awards for members within the binary. Right now, the only award I will be giving is the "Bloodnamed Award"(Bloodname: Bloodname refers to the surname of each of the 800 warriors who stood with Nicholas Kerensky during the Exodus Civil War. These 800 are the foundation of the Clans' elaborate breeding program. The right to use 1 of these surnames has been the ambition of every Clan warrior since the system was established. Only 25 warriors, which corresponds to the 25 bloodrights, are allowed to use any one surname at one time. When one of the 25 Bloodnamed warriors dies, a trial is held to determine who will assume the bloodname. A contender must prove his bloodname lineage, then win a series of duels with other competitors. Only bloodnamed warriors are allowed to sit on the Clan Councils or are eligible to become a Khan or ilKhan. Most bloodnames have been gradually confined to one or two warrior classes; however, certain prestigious names-such as Kerensky- have shown their genetic value by producing excellent warriors in all 3 classes(MechWarrior,fighter pilot, and Elemental). Bloodnames are determined matrilineally, at least after the original generation. Because a warrior can only inherit from his or her female parent, he or she can only have a claim to one bloodname.). For now, KW-Phobia will hold the award. The award can only be earned by winning a binary war. You can go ahead and put that up on your member profile on the pig, Phobia. I'll think of other stuff later.

New award to be given, the "Throthkin Award"(Throthkin:Used formally, this term refers to members of an extended sibko. Less formally, a warrior will use "throthkin" when referring to someone he considers his peer). This award will be given to the warrior who wins the most battles with wingmen from our own binary in one month from the date that the submit wars page is up. He will keep the award until someone breaks his record. In the case of a tie, the warriors will duke it out in a default war 75 tons, no regeneration.

New award to be given: the "Ristar Award"(Ristar:This term refers to a particularly gifted warrior on his or her way to high position. It is probably derived from the expression"rising star." The only way to earn the Ristar award is to prove to me you are bad@$$, have no previous clan experience, and very little or no training.As of now, Utopiaman holds the award and is the only one to do so.

The next award is the "Cutdown Award"(Cutdown:The minimum force necessary to win any trial for which there has been bidding.Bidders who can push their opponent into making a bid below the cutdown are considered clever. Commanders who win with a force smaller than the cutdown are greatly honored.)In order to win the award, you must go to war against forces at least 20 tons heavier than you and win. Winning by a technicallity does not count. One of you must get the 5 kills or win the war if it is mission based. I will especially confirm these with other Clans. The award will begin to be given out as soon as I put up the new binary submit wars page.(By now, in case you havent figured it out, all these awards I am taking in part from original Battletech material).

Ok, the binary ranks page is up, whether it works or not, I dont know. I did it all by myself which means it probably wont work, he he he. I want everybody using it by 4/01/98, although you can start using it now. Uhm, I fixed the Links page, sorry about that. Please dont send me links to mechmaid. New awards: The "Touman Award"(Touman:The term given to the fighting arm of a Clan.)To get this award, you have to be virtually a 1 man army. You must war at least 50 wars within 1 month and win at least 15, not by technicality. The "Dezgra Medallion."(Dezgra:A fighting unit that disgraces itself is known as a dezgra unit. The name also refers to the ritual whereby that unit is markes and punished. Any unit that refuses orders, panics in the face of the enemy, or takes dishonorable action is disgraced. The unit warriors are given a choice; immediate execution or the dezgra,"disgraced expulsion." In pre-invasion days, dezgra warriors who chose to live were sent to one of several marginally habitable planets and left to survive or die on their own. After five years, the survivors were allowed to return, but without any guarantee of acceptance back into society. Since Tukkayid, some dezgra units have hired themselves out as mercenaries. It is highly unlikely that any Clan will accept a dezgra unit after it has served for five years as a mercenary unit, brecause Clan warriors consider mercenaries below even the lowest caste. Dezgra untis must, bly Clan law, remove all Clan markings from their weapons and uniforms and wear what historians would immediately recognize as the crest of the hated Amaris family. This epithet, used by trueborn members of the warrior caste, is a mortal insult to anohter trueborn warrior. It generally expresses disgust or frustration.) You guys really dont wanna get this award. Any of you caught doing any kind of dishonorable deed, including submitting a false war record, or are out of compliance with the binary rules are subject to this Disgraceful Award. With it, includes a drop to 2nd Mechwarrior for rank, a stripping of all previous awards, and u must let those know of your dishonorable actions in your member profile. Should you move to another binary or Clan, a strong recommendation against you will be made. This also causes you tobe placed on my referral page, which to date I havent had to make, thank God. It can only be removed when you have reproven yourself to me. Then will you be off the referral list, and you will no longer have to wear the medal and a detailing if your dishonorable deeds on your profile. However, you will not have your awards restored to you or your previous rank for that matter. I have seen some of you dont have Mechman, or Mechmaid. I dont have all of your ICQs or email addresses, and some of you havent fixed your profile according to the rules. To these people, I say only this. GET YOUR @$$ IN GEAR!!! Some of you think I dont check for these things? ERRRRRRRHHHHH!!!! Wrong, guess again!!!! I will start handing out dezgra awards as of 04/01/98. Please dont make me give you one.

Ok, my new ventures into making a submit wars page have failed again. Im considering giving it up and just getting my info from the clans submit wars page. In 2 days, D-day in the 4tgh binary. I will start handing out dezgra medallions to those who have made me do so. Dont cry and say "BUT YOU DIDNT SAY ANYTHING!!!!". Ive sent all of you ICQ's, and if I havent, then I have either told you personally, or have had no means of contacting you(ehem, Goldencat?,r-u-n-2-me?). The only 1 exeception to the medallion TEMPORARILY is Phobia because he is ToPing me for rank. If I win this ToP guys, the binary goes on as scheduled. Its best if you have your sh!t ready anyways.
