Like Benimaru Nikaido, Joe is the type that demands attention from others. He wants to be the one everyone talks about in awe, and anything less will not satisfy him. Unlike Beni (the lady-killer), though, Joe is more into his strength and physique. In a way, he seems a bit too much into himself. He also seems to think he is the ultimate rival of Terry, the legendary fighter.

Joe is also a very playful and fun-loving guy. He always teases Andy and his relationship with Mai Shiranui, and hides behind Terry when he went over the edge with Andy. He loves to be a riot, and he loves a good fight.

Again, Joe is one of those fighters that everyone loves to use because of his comical nature. Indeed, he is fun to watch and use! His powers should not be underestimated, though. It's no joke that he's a reigning champ, and his moves are quick and powerful, not to mention flashy. His "Bakuretsu Hurricane Tiger Kakato (Exploding Hurricane Tiger Heel)" is a devastating move that all opponents should stay alert for... it gouges out a painful amount of damage to unexpecting opponents!
