Sie Kensou
Sie Kensou Kensou is the active boy that always lingers around Athena Asamiya, with good reasons. They both practice the ancient arts of kung fu under their drunken master Chin Gentsai together, they both fought against the evil presence in the previous matches of the King of Fighters tournament, and to top it off, Kensou is in LOVE with Athena. Thus, he feels a great jealousy towards Kyo Kusanagi, who Athena shows great interest in. Too bad, she doesn't see him as a man yet. He is very compassionate and has a simple heart. Kensou also plays the guitar.

For some bizzare reasons, Kensou speaks Japanese in a Kansai (the Osaka-Kyoto area) accent, similar to Robert Garcia. He also shows a strong liking towards niku-man, or "meat buns", which he chows before every match. This is enhanced even more now in King of Fighters '97 with his phrase "Pizza-man ya~n! (this is a Pizza bun!)". Kensou also reads comic books after matches. He is a very lazy boy, and trys to get out of his kung fu lessons as much as possible (which aggrievates Athena a lot). Despite him being in the prime age of 19, Kensou is still undoubtly a kid at heart.

Unlike Athena, who bases her special moves more on her psychic powers, Kensou relies more on his kung fu skills. Despite his slacking off, Kensou is an above average fighter.
