Welcome to the Ranks&Medals page! This is where you will see the names of ranks and some cool pictures of the medals that you can earn!

These are not all the ranks, we just don't have pictures for all of them. If you are a Private (Pvt.) You are a pilot in training who is waiting to get their pilots license... The only way you can get this is flying in at least one war.

The U.S. 24th Aero Squadron utilizes historical WW I medals from France, the United Kingdom, and the United States to represent our Unit Decorations. The medals are listed in our squadron's own ORDER OF MERIT ranking.

Medal of Honor - Awarded to pilots who have achieved two hundred confirmed victories, Master Aviator status, and have been a recipient of at least one decoration of all other U.S. 24th Aero Squadron Awards.

Victoria Cross - Awarded for achieving one hundred confirmed victories.

Legion d' Honneur - Awarded for achieving fifty confirmed victories.

Distinguished Service Cross (U.S.) - Awarded to a U.S. 24th, Allied, or Enemy pilot whose overall effort, conduct, and commitment is a credit to them, their unit, and the RED BARON 3D community. Subsequent Awards recognized by an Oak Leaf Cluster.

Distinguished Conduct Medal - Awarded to pilots that distinguish themselves by displaying outstanding valor, chivalry, and honor in action against the enemy. Subsequent awards recognized by a Silver Bar. Three Silver Bars recognized by a Gold Bar.

Medaille Militaire - Awarded for achieving twenty-five confirmed victories.

Distinguished Service Order - Awarded to all members of a flight for excellence in participation, teamwork, and achievement in operations. Subsequent awards recognized by a Silver Bar. Three Silver Bars recognized by a Gold Bar.

Distinguished Service Cross (U.K.) - Awarded for achieving the highest confirmed victory count in a campaign. Subsequent awards recognized with a Silver Bar. Three Silver Bars recognized by a Gold Bar.

Distinguished Flying Cross - Awarded for achieving five confirmed victories.

Military Cross - Awarded for excellence in ground attack. Subsequent awards recognized by a Silver Bar. Three Silver Bars recognized by a Gold Bar.

Military Medal - Awarded for achieving first confirmed victory.

Croix de Guerre - Awarded for service in action against the enemy. Three subsequent awards recognized with a Bronze Palm. Three Bronze Palms recognized with a Gold Palm.
