Nissan Almera

Nissan Almera (A7)
The Almera handles alright but it is a great let down in terms of top speed. The Almera looks the part in the replays but winning rallies with the car is rather difficult. Don't be mislead by the amount of horse power under the bonnet.
 

Ford Escort RS2000

Ford Escort RS2000 (A7)
The RS2000 is another car that handles nicely but can only manage a top speed of 119mph using the default gearbox. Considering that most people will want to play as this car the first time they play the game, it's a real shame.
 

Skoda Octavia

Skoda Octavia (A7)
Skoda's Octavia is actually quite a fast car. Unfortunately it steers like a barge. Compare the way the car looks with a photo of the real Octavia and it is very close. If only its handling could match its realistic looks...
 
Ford Escort Maxi

Ford Escort Maxi (A7)
The Maxi is, not surprisingly, like the RS2000 but with a different paint job. There's not much more to say about the car other then you really have to like yellow to want to drive it.
 
Vauxhall Astra

Vauxhall Astra (A7)
This car boasts the best torque of all the cars in the game and it is widely accepted that it is the best A7 car. If you are planning on winning the championship, then your best bet is the Astra (or Megane below). This is the car favoured by the great Caroline Lopez after all.
 
Hyundai Coupe Evo II

Hyundai Coupe Evo II (A7)
The Hyundai is another fast car that unfortunately tends to slide alot. Not as good as the Astra, but it has a very nice interior cockpit view!
 
Volkswagen Golf GTi mk IV

Volkswagen Golf GTi mk IV (A7)
The VW Golf has very nice handling but is let down by its lack of top speed. The Golf is a particularly nice car for doing those time-trials in.
 
Renault Megane

Renault Megane (A7)
Look carefully at the Megane and you'll notice that it has seven gears! This means that it is actually the fastest A7 car in terms of top speed but the handling isn't perfect with the car tending to slide a bit wide.
 
Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport

Seat Ibiza Cupra Sport (A7)
Looking at the box for this game the untrained eye would believe that it must be the best car of the game. In fact Seat have the best manufacturers website which is probably why their name crops up all over in Rally Championship. The Ibiza is nice to look at and has the best handling of the A7 cars. The top speed however, is poor.
