Orc Strengths

Orcs have a formidable horde of Ogres at their command, undead Skeletons and Death Knights, Runes and Bloodlust, less expensive upgrades, and Beserker Regeneration.

Ogres make up the main force of any self-respecting Orc player. With their supreme destructive capabilities, they can wreck a farming town in a few seconds. They run fast and cost little more than a Grunt.

Death Knights have the edge over Mages in speed. They have Raise Dead, which can let you gain an undead army with a few castings. Whirlwind casts a damaging tornado that rips apart anything it touches. Death Coil is much better than Fireball; it drains the life of its targets. Haste speeds up any unit to the speed of a knight. Cast this on a Dragon for a mean, lean, killing machine. Cast in on another Death Knight for quick Death and Decay hit and run tactics. Using Unholy Armor greatly increases the defense of the target. Grunts will live much longer with unholy armor.

Runes are like landmines, put them anywhere somebody will step on them. Bloodlust will increase the defense and attack power of its target. 9 bloodlusted ogres can rip through ANYTHING. So if 9 can do that, why not get 36 of them? You could crush anyone with your bloodlusted ogres.

Orcs have less expensive weapon upgrades than Humans. This can be a great advantage when racing to get the best upgrades first.

Troll Beserkers with Regeneration will gradually recover hit points, but slowly. This can be a great advantage when facing Archers.
