Tenchi Muyo
Tenchi Muyo! is the story of a young boy in high school, Tenchi Masaki. He lives in rural Japan, near a shrine with his father and his grandfather, a Shinto priest. One day, Tenchi decides to head to a nearby cave, against his grandfather's advice, where a demon has been sealed up for thousands of years. Tenchi accidentally opens the cave and releases the demon, also taking a light-sword in the process.This demon turns out to be the space pirate, Ryoko, a beautiful but crazy being who has been trapped in the cave. Tenchi's ancestor put her there as punishment for crimes she commited under the influence of the evil Kagato. This discovery begins a chain of events that involve two princesses of the planet Jurai, Ayeka and Sasami, and a galaxy police officer, Mihoshi, and Ryoko's creator, the mad scientist Washu. Eventually all of these women end up stranded on Earth, and move in with Tenchi and his family.
There's only one problem with this arrangement- they all want to go out with Tenchi! Inbetween their interstellar adventures, they spend most of their time trying to keep one another from getting the upper hand with Tenchi, who wants nothing to do with all of this. He's too shy!
Finally Tenchi discovers that he is related to Ayeka and Sasami and is in fact a member of the Jurai royal family, with the power to wield the master key, a sword also called "Tenchi." Buit it doesn't always respond to his commands…In emergencies, Tenchi also has the power of the "Lighthawk wings," a type of energy force that is the most powerful in the universe. Will Tenchi face up to his destiny as a member of the Jurai royal family? Watch and find out.
