WCW/NWO Revenge is by far the best multiplayer wrestling game ever made so far, well it was untill wrestlemania 200 came out, now that is the best by far. Thsese games and NBA Hangtime are, in my opinion, the best multiplayer games on the market right now. WCW/nWo Revenge is awesome 1 on 1 with a friend and 2 on 2 is even better. This is my strategy section for this game. I'll have everything from good matchups, (based on my experience from playing my friends) to how to beat your bud. Please email me any tips, tricks, or any type of strategy you have for Revenge.

Stay on the mat for as long as you want: After you get knocked down, simply hold the control stick to one side. You will stay on the mat untill you are picked up or you let go of the control stick.
Copy Specials: When in special, press A and B at the same time instead of pressing the control stick. As far as I know you can copy specials from the front and back only, not off the ropes or in the corner.
Copy taunts: Rotate the control stick 360 degrees to do your opponents taunt.
Copy Ground Submissions of Opponent: When your opponent is lying of the mat press A+B together. You have to be in special to copy ground moves.
Silver Belts: When you see Hogan, Giant, and Bischoff in the black and white scene during the opening sequence, press A. The chanpionship belts will then be silver. But don't worry, they only stay that way untill you turn it off.
Make your aponent leave the arena: When fighting in the Nitro or Super Brawl arenas, use a weak grapple and throw your opponent into the black doorway at the 'top' of the isle. He may come out with a weapon or come out like he has been thrown off the ropes.
Get out of pins and submissions: To get out of pins and submissions, repeatedly press A and B while rotating the control stick. This trick works for pins 99% of the time. The downfall of this trick is that it may cause you to give up almost instantly late in the match when you spirit is low.
Weapons: You can reach into the crouds for weapons by pressing c-up. To steal a weapon from your opponent press R at the right time just before he hits you with the weapon. You can grab it from a running attack, but I wouldn't recomend it.
Defence: To swat off an opposing grapple press the L button before your opponent can grab you. If you can't swat off the grapple, reversing a grapple move is done by pressing R at the right time after your opponent grabs you. To reverse a striking move press R like you would to take a weapon.
Good matchups. Based on my experience, these matches have the potential to be pretty long matches. If not long matches they can be a fairly good match, around 10 minutes or so. These are usually not a one sided slaughter. Please email any good or bad matchups you have come about.
DDP vs. Raven: I have had 3 DDP vs. Raven matchups with my friend. First one was 24 minutes flat, the second 22 1/2 minutes, and the third 10 1/2. Always with DDP on top, and Raven face down on the mat.
Chris Benoit vs. Saturn: I've done one or two Benoit vs. Saturn matches against my brother. The matches lasted a between 10 and 15 minutes. I was on top with Benoit at the end of them.
Bad matchups. Based on my experience; these have been short, one sided slaughters.
Scott Steiner vs. Saturn. Against my brother I almost always win with this matchup, and quickly too. Most of the time the Steiner recliner puts Saturn to rest in under 5 minutes, usually around 3 1/2.
The best: Right now I think Scott Steiner is the best wrestler in this game. His special is strong, and the Steiner recliner makes people give up real easy.
The worst: In any game like Revenge, or any fighting game, there is never really a worst character. Everyone is good if you know how to use him/her or just know how to play extremely well. But WCW/NWO Revenge does have an absolute worst wrestler: Eric Bischoff. His kicks are fairly strong, but since he can't grapple, he will probably never be the victor in any battle except a 2 player match, in which the second player is controlled by no one.
Current favorite(s): My current favorites are Scott Steiner, and Kanyon/Mortis.
Current least favorite(s): My least favorites are Goldberg and Saturn.
