Deck story
When i put this deck together i was planning for a honor victory. I know
it would not be as quick as a crane but i thought it would be fast enough to
be competetive. I also believed since most of my personalities were mirumotto
i would have a decent military presence, again, not that I would get the second
turn province, but enough to protect myself if the other guy tried to take a
second turn province. I will tell of three games i played with it.
The first game i played was against a Hitomi Tattoo Military Deck. I was
lucky enough to control the favor the entire game, and i also had higher chi
then he did, so i won all of my duels. In the early game i kept up with him
force wise, so he did not get the early province. This, in the end, is what
won me the game. It allowed me to build up force. He ended up taking three
of my province with out me even defending them due to the centepede tattoo's
and superior tactics. In the end, however, he had to attack my last province
and with the favor, a treachey and deciet, and two iaijutsu duels i decemated
his army, won the battle, and brought my honor to 42, winning the game on my
turn.
I got the pleasure of playing a ninja deck next. I gave up on winning a
honor victory before the game started, and decided to destroy the ninja militarily.
Again during this game i controlled the favor the whole game and had higher
chi then he did. First turn i got out a fortress of the Dragonfly and two merchant
caravans. This basically sealed the victory for me. Second turn i got the
Inheritance,
Mirumotto Hitomi, Mirumotto Daini, and a gold mine. With the fortress out i
had the 10 chi i needeed to attack his provinces. The only personality he had
out was a nashiko, and my chi was to high for him to put my personality back
in my deck. It was over by turn six.
The final game i want to talk about is against the unicorn. this one hurt.
I had the favor and higher chi, unfortunatly, he had confusion at court and
calvary. On turn three i had two provinces left. This slowed down my personality
production, but it is not what lost me the game. What lost me the game was
his Oracle of Earth, Scout, Deadly ground combination. I had the actions in
my hand to decemate his army. I mean his average chi was 2.5. My duels would
kill him. With the deadly ground, however, i never got a chance to play them.
We played four games and they all ended the same way, Oracle, scout, deadly
ground. The only good thing is that my honor was over 30 by the time he killed
me, so if i can speed it up a hair maybe i can beat him to the punch.
