To Tattoo, or not Tattoo
By the Unknown Samurai

I think the most exciting thing to happen to the Dragons and Monks (mostly Dragons) in a long time are the Tattooed Personalities and their available Tattoos. I have found the Dragonfly-Mountian Tattoo combo works well on a first turn personality like Hitomi Dajan and Hitomi Akuai. Then You only need a 2F bonus from Your fate hand (7F) and instant 2nd turn Provence kill on most opponents. Get lucky and get a Centipede Tattoo and Rally Cry as well and You have a second turn 2 Provence kill. (This actually happens but its mostly done on the 3rd turn.)
If Your using the Kade Sensei You can get out the ring of the Void easily. Many People will tell You that "Glimpse of the Unicorn" is a waist of space in Your dynasty Deck. Well, along with "Inheritance" as My favorite first turn Event goes "Glimpse." It may give Me the extra Tattoo or force bonus I need to strike quickly. It is imperative to take out an early Provence to even the playing field or slow down Your opponents production.
The "Dragon Tattoo" can slow down a personality without a "Rally Cry" but can also supply the punch You need. My favorite tactic with this Tattoo without a Rally Cry is putting it on a Hitomi Kobi and then Kamikaze attack with a Wedge (10F) if You can keep Him in the battle. I haven't experimented with the other Tattoos Yet because My "#1" Deck is based on a quick attack but Im sure they all have their strengths. My next Tattoo article will feature a deck using them. Until then Samurai and Samurai-KO, I remain,
