Tattoo Kamikaze Deck
Using Kyuden Hitomi
By The Unknown Samurai

I was born in the Year of the Dragon so I was drawn to the Dragon Clan immediately. The concept of a Kamikaze deck was rooted in the idea of the 30/30 Lion deck that I played for quite some time with great success. Hit hard, Hit fast. The Tattoo's give the Dragon the speed, strength, and mobility, the Wedge's the deadly punch. I can usually get the ring of Void out by the 3rd turn, and sometimes on the second.
When the Shugenja arrive the spells help in mid and late game. Being HDM I have refrained from using "Cultists" but perhaps I might convince My Brethren that they will not cast a kiho, only participate in rituals, and there by converting them to to path of enlightenment, (Yea Right.)
All the Personalities are first turn, and the Events speed the Dynasty deck along. When the events hit right its a neat look on My opponents face when all their high Chi Personalities bow for two turns while My Army pounds away at their Provinces.
It might look like I don't have much gold in the deck and You would be right, but It works on very little gold. I have failed the deck by bone head plays more than It's failed Me by not having the cards I need when I need them.
The most memorable games? The first one that comes to mind was the first round of "War in the heavens" tournament against a Phoenix Blood Speaker Deck. I got My first turn personality, and at least one or two every turn after that.
He was able to turn back the first two attacks but it cost Him many good defensive cards and I beat Him down to one Provence by turn 7. Although He was able to duel away many Personalities and (even steal one), They keep coming and He couldn't keep up.I was elated, My first Gen Con Battle, The Deck worked like it should, and I took out a Blood Speaker. (It went down hill from there but It worked perfectly that game.)
There was a Tournament in July '99 where I was working the Deck up for Gen Con and I was the only Player who beat the eventual Champion (Ninja). I got Inheritance, Hitomi Dajan, Merchant Caravan, and Hitomi Iyojin on the first draw, and the fate hand was Meditation x2, Dragonfly Tattoo, Charge, Superior Tactics. Instant 2 turn Provence kill, ( I had used the Kaede Sensei before the attack and got the Ring of Void), Used Meditation on each of them, used all My Fate Hand, drew 5 cards for the next turn. I drew a Dragon Tattoo, Centipede tattoo, Rally cry, Mountain Tattoo, and Careful Planning.
I Attacked the next turn and got another Provence assigning the Dragon, Mountian, and Centipede Tattoos to Dajan who Already had the Dragonfly tattoo. I Blew up the Dragon Tattoo, laid Careful planning on Him, another 10 Chi (with Iyojin) and away went another Provence.
He began to delay Me for a while after that but I kept getting Personalities and in another 3 turns had enough Chi on the table to crush the remanning Provinces. He was 5-1 for the day thanks to the Kamikaze Attack.
This last version is the strongest.
