Here you are going to find some emulators, roms, important files, and info on how to get started with MAME
1) First thing you want to do is to download MAME emulators for DOS ( may be ran for Windows, as well)
2) Once you have downloaded both source and binary mames, you want to unzip them both into the same dir. For example "C:\unzipped\mame"
3) Now you need to add file "cwsdpmi.exe" into your mame directory (that is in order that you would run your mame games in pure DOS)
"Important note"
Although, you can run your mame games under Windows, it's preferably that you do it in a pure DOS
4) At this moment your MAME must be ready to run games. Therefore you need to get so-called ROMS (game files taken from original arcade machines)
5) Your roms must be placed into the sub-folder of yuor MAME directory called "roms". (You don't need to unzip your roms you just have to put them in to X:\unzipped\mame\roms the way they are)
6) You are ready to play once you've put your roms into X:\X\mame\roms.
To start playing you need to be in your mame dir.Go to the Dos-promt, go to your mame dir,
and type : mame nameofthegame and press enter. If every thing is going right you going to see 7 choices choose one that best coresponds to your system and enjoy.
