Edward I
| I personally believe that if wallace had not been betrayed and thus killed, he would have eventually done what Robert the Bruce did. Those things being the continued raids of northern england, Bannockburn, and outliving the evil tyrant bastard Edward I, as well as his pathetic failure son, Edward II. |
|
| it was a horrible thing that the ones who were his friends gave in to the english and turned wallace in. They obviously did not realize the fact that ridding their country of the english opression was really the most important thing for them. | |

It is sort of a (public school) classroom type of situation in my view. You see,
there is a group being opressed by an outside force. Instead of standing together,
the members of the group quarell and bicker with one another. Just like in the
wallace betrayal situation, one of the opressed turns in the one who is taking
a stand against the wrong doing just so he can get a pat on the head from the
asshole who is in charge of all the crap.
I think that Wallace is truly one of history's greatest heroes. If it weren't for his deeds Scotland may have never acheived independence. Even though he didn't live to see it, I'm sure he believed that he would soon be succeeded by someone who would also never give up that cause, just as he never did. |
