Who is Gaylen Della?
Gaylen Della is a programmer and writer, who enjoys all music but country and rap, who prefers PCs over MACs, who wishes we had a 28 hour day, and who belives that 2 CD-ROM drives are necesary to get the most out of any PC.
Gaylen Della has an incredible sense of humor, and enjoys laughing,
joking, and fooling around. However, Gaylen is also very a serious
worker who gets fully absorbed in his work. In his spare time (and he
sure seems to have a lot), Gaylen plays computer games, writes, codes,
and surfs the Web and the local BBSs.
Gaylen Della operates off the Obsidian Crow, a customized
Cruiser. It orbits within the event horizen of the Ebony Rift,
A moderately sized black hole in the Tyr system. Gaylen also
owns the New Rossyth Shipyards (=NeRoS=), run off the planet Rossyth.
Gaylen Della, when working on the Obsidian Crow, creates things.
Living things. He engieers biological tools. He mutates people and
experiments with mutational virii. He creates plagues which target a
single race, or species, or system. He is always on the lookout for new
lifeforms to analyze or new viruses to mimic. The ship itself is alive,
the main computer is a brain the size of a house, suspended in a nutrient
fluid and directly linked to all the ships systems. The crew consists
of mindless humanoids whos bodies have been shaped precisely for the
task they were assigned at creation. The crew is also under the direct
controll of he ships computer.
Gaylen also retains direct controll over =NeRoS=, however he delegates
much of it to Eltra Thart, the commander in chief, who takes care of
just about everything during Della's long absences.
The original Rossyth Shipyards on Rossyth were destroyed in a meteor
colision, but Gaylen's predecessor rebuilt the ground based shipyards,
in adition to two new space sations (ROSS, the Rossyth Orbital Space
Station, where tourists and perspective clients may dock ships too
large to land on the planet, and ROCS, the Rossyth Orbital Construction
Shipyards, where ships too large to be built on the ground are assembled
in orbit around the planet). =NeRoS= now produces three largely popular
space ships, the Viper: a small, high-end multipurpose starfighter, the
Anaconda: A medium sized multipurpose transport, and the Manis: a large
multipurpose cruiser.
Many have claimed that =NeRoS= success is that of excelent design
and quality, for their production facilities are no where near as
vast or as capable as some; like the Imperial facilities as Kuat, or
the vast starfighter production systems of Seinar Fleet Systems. However,
most agree that the three ships themselves are near the top of their
class. Although being multipurpose, they don't fall back into the flaw
of most other multirole ships: they can do everythig, but they can't do
it well. Due to the advanced modular designs in all three =NeRoS= ships,
each one can be made as good at any specific task in a matter of hours,
depending on the size of the ship and the role it is being prepared for.

Now, this is a fair question, but first ask yourself if he is truly
obsessed with Sepheroth. Okay, so he creates and maintains a web page
dedicated to him... But that's not obsession yet, is it? Well, he has
admitted to having an affinity for the character, and is fascinated
by him, however he has other things he is even more obsessed with.
