The clan's estemed RecordKeeper, Nebu keeps the clan's exploits recorded in his records.
You want to read about me? Kewl! Ah, where to begin? Nebu is a bit quirky, and refers to herself in the third person. Also, Nebu has a few sexual identity problems to sort out, so he'll sometimes refer to herself as both male and female in the same piece of text. Yes, weird... Perhaps frighteningly so, but once you get used to Neb and can get over your fear of hermaphrodites, you'll fine that Neb makes a pretty good friend indeed.
If you asked Neb what the most important thing in life were, he would answer "fun." Actually, he would give a whole bunch of false answers first, (Jello, Toys, Sex!) and you'd have to dig through his psyche to figure out that what he really means is fun. Neb believes he has been put onto earth to spread happiness. Neb will usually be happy and cheerful. The only time he'll be depressed is when he misses his girlfriend, or if he lost a really important game or something. But give him a few pats on the back, and some encouraging words, and more often than not, Neb will be back on his feet, cheerful as ever.
Neb was originally a character in a role playing game. Neb's player, known only as "Neb's Player," soon got engulfed by what is Neb, though, and Neb took over "Neb's Player"'s mind. Now "Neb's Player" acts like Neb in real life. Neb's Player has lots of characters in his mind and suffers from mild split personality disorder. Neb's Player's personality is mainly dominated by Nebu, Oliver-NG, The Sypher, and Neb4 [in that order.] Other characters floating around in Neb's Player's head are Cube-nXt, Sphere-nXt, Pandora, Kitty, Mouse, Neb3 and a couple of other minor ones, that don't really affect Neb's Player's personality at all.
Nebu, or Nebuchadnezzar1(M) is Neb's Player's main personality. The fun loving never-grow up side of him. Takes things silly. Tries to make other people happy. Nebu is such a huge part of Neb's Player that Neb's Player often calls himself "Nebu" as does many of his friends and some of his family. A lot of the time Neb's Player is with his close friends, he'll act like Nebu. There was a time when Neb's Player acted like Oliver-NG around strangers and acquaintances, but that is slowly disapating, and now Neb's Player is acting like Nebu even in front of total strangers.
Oliver-NG is Neb's Player's intellectual side. Oliver-NG is a programmer and inventor. He works for a huge software company and is pretty successful businesswise. non-businesswise however, Oliver isn't too well off. He's antisocial. A nerd, if you will. He prefers to be alone then with other people and is rather shy, missing out on a lot of the fun in life. Nebu lives with Oliver-NG. Oliver's mom takes care of Nebu like he was a pet or an adopted child. Oliver hangs out with Nebu because Nebu tries to be friends with everybody.
The Sypher is Neb's spawn [more on that later,] which gives them a kind of father-son relationship. The Sypher, previously named Neb2, later changed his name when he went evil. The Sypher now hates his father, Neb, for his lightheartedness towards life, and his inability to make Neb truly suffer, but he keeps trying, and is often very close to success. Very gothic, dark and moody, The Sypher can look very cool in his own evil way, but he's not someone you'd like to hang around.
You'll not hear much about Neb4, for this character is pretty much neutral to everything and everyone. He doesn't have a opinion on anything really, and might seem slow or stupid or lazy, but his mind is running wild with thoughts. He's a philosopher and a poet, and tries to seperate himself from life to see it from a better perspective. Blends into a crowd very easily, being very silent, and seems to have the type of charisma that just makes him hard to notice.
If you've read this far, I'm impressed. Neb's story is long and complex, and could be a novel in itself. If you're REALLY interested in what Neb had to go through, e-mail him at [email protected], or ICQ him (6152277) Don't ask for one big text file with the entire story, and don't expecting him to type it all in in one sitting. It's not gonna happen.
