| You see in the distance a large imposing keep. The banner for the Band
of the Red Hand flies from the tallest tower. As you ride up the path leading to the gates, they open before you and close behind you. A young boy quickly comes from the stable and holds your horse as you dismount, then leads the horse into the stables. You look along the ramparts or one of the renond members of the band. All of the walls are unmanned by anyone. You wonder who would leave their walls unmanned. Ether they are as good as you have heard and have no worries or are fools. You look around noticing a servant waiting by an open door. He bows deeply and motions to the door. He leads you through the door and deep into the keep with out a word. He stops before a large ornate carved door of dark oak. He opens the door and motions you in. You walk into a huge study. The room is lit buy a chandler of candles, bathing the room in a warm glow. The walls are lined with shelves filled with books. Behind a black oak desk sits a thin brown haired man with deep brown eyes that seem to be weighing your worth. He wears a uniform of a black high collared tunic edged in deep purple with deep purple gloves. Behind him on the wall is a kite shield with a purple and black ying-yang with a red fist in the middle. Hanging just below the shield is a beautiful long sword. He motions to a chair in front of his desk and says in a deep voice, "Sit." After you set he says, "Would you like anything to drink or eat? I know your ride has been a long one. "After you tell him what you want he nods to a shadowed corner and you see a servant that walks out through a shadowed door in the corner where he had been standing. A short time later the servant returns, giving you, your drink and leaves through the door. A bolt can be heard sliding into place. The man leans forward looking at you over peaked hands and says, "I am Thalin leader of the Band of the Red Fist. You are in need of our services. For the right price you will have us for as long as you need. If you will look at this it is our standard contract it gives you are rates and our Code of Conduct. I'm sure you will find them acceptable." Thalin slides a sheet of paper over to you. The paper reads: |
