Bomber Command is like most artillery games, perhaps a little simpler than some and better than others. I loved that old QBasic Gorillas game that used to come with MS-DOS, so last year when I needed a game to play on my calculator in Physics class I wrote a little game called Duel that was a lot like it. Bomber Command is almost exactly like Duel, although obviously better in every way.
You play as Red or Blue and fight over the the much-treasured City of Green. You can destroy buildings to get them out of your way, and don't forget to take into account the wind's speed and direction. First shot kills are worth 100 points and normal kills 50. You can get up to 50 points even if you miss, depending on how close you got. In fact, you can win by points while still losing by kills.
Bomber Command's computer player has three levels of expertise. The AI could stand some work, but I really don't have the time to work on it. Maybe later. However, you can also play with a friend, hot-seat style, which is a lot more fun anyway. If you wish, the computer can play against itself for some interesting pyrotechnics. Bomber Command should run well on slower/older computers, minimum requirements being a 386 and SVGA. A sound card is recommended, though not even close to being necesary.
Special thanks for this one goes to Mr Wisch & Mr Lee for teaching me the necesary equations some years ago. Source code is not included, but will be released upon request.

You can take screenshots on almost every screen. Hit S or F10 and the picture will be saved in the game directory as bomberXX.bmp, where XX is a number. Record that perfect shot, that ravaged cityscape or that excellent score. If you snag anything cool, send it to me!
