GooseBumps - Escape From Horror Land

The game is based on a series of Books with the same name (i.e. goosebumps), according to my knowledge little kids love those books, however I never read one, I only played the game. First of all I am taking
down 2 points from the game because the install didn't bother to ask me weather I do, or do not wish to install Directx3 on my computer and just did it, thus making me reboot my machine EVEN THOUGH I ALREADY
HAD DIRECTX5 IN IT! I hate that. The game itself is pretty short and consists mostly of many many video sequences, the puzzles are simple (I guess cause it's designed for kids), and even they have clues on how to solve them. The game also has some action elements in it (however you can never die in them). If you want to know the plot - you are playing yourself, and you have to help three other kids escape horrorland - simple? yep, sure is. I couldn't understand why I had to try and collect all those coins that are scattered everywhere, I never actually used them. Also the game has places where you
collect coins via doom style, which was idiotic, SINCE YOU DON'T NEED THE COINS TO FINISH THE GAME SO WHY PLAY IN THOSE DUNGEONS???

I couldn't find anything extremely appealing in the game and till I give it to a kid I know and ask him what he thought of it, you'll have to be content with the "adult" score I'm giving it.
Good videos, but very short game, some parts are not used/needed, very idiotic plot, and puzzles, no challenge whatsoever for an average person but maybe for kids at the ages of 10?
