The Catapult causes more damage and has a larger damage area than the Stone Thrower. It can be upgraded to the Heavy Catapult. Other Siege units include the Ballista and the Helepolis.
Researching Alchemy increases attack strength. Ballistics increases accuracy. Engineering increases range.
