Notes
on the clan war-
Not
really a big proper clan war.
It was going to be, but there was a bit of a mix up and people went onto
different servers,
got disconnected
or just didn’t turn up,
so it was only a 2 v
2. This was mainly because
Globalnet was
fucked up (my
sources tell me it was camper clay
who changed it to 2 frags,
the stupid fuck witted knob-end),
so we had to chose a different server quick, this led to complications
(high pings mainly)
so we had to switch servers
all the time, so people got lost and so forth.

Dandy
Firstly
a BIG
thanks from all the Clan
to Dandy
for all his work and time arranging the Clan
War and keeping the members informed.
An apology to Mad Ferrit
for losing him. And Druss
for carrying the day :-)
Well
it all seemed rather straight forward to start with! :-)
LOB
Vs Q98
over five Levels (E1M1
- E1M5) on Global,
with the winner being the side that provided the best winning results.
That might sound a little ambiguous and open to a degree of interpretation,
but we did'ny quibble as we all felt confidant that there would only be
ONE interpretation
of the end result! Well the straight forward went out the window
when some twat
at Global set
the Frag Limit
to 2! ASS HOLE!
That meant there was the inevitable discussion as to which Server
to play on. After a few mins Q98
tossed Quake.Enta.Net
in to the hat and we all trooped off there. Mistake
No.1 Unfortunately Mad
Ferrit had the
wrong IP and
we lost him and despite searching several times never found him.
Then after the standard round of ping
inspections Dandy
and Saber
returned wandering pings
of between 400
- 3000 (oooo
eeer) and even Druss
was none to happy with his! Another round of "pass
the Server" ensued. In the middle of
this someone pipes up "where's the rest of
Q98?",
as there was still only Q98
Dave and Q98
Popeye, to which Q98
Dave replied "I Dunno, probably playing some
where else", "Well
Fucking well go and get them!" was the rather
swift and totally warranted reply from Dandy.
"Does it really matter?"
Q98
Dave says (I think that comment got to
Dandy
a bit :-),
"Yes it Fucking well does, I spent ages getting
4 players together at the same time, so go fucking get them!"
Dandy
has a way of making his feelings known :-)
Q98 Dave
went to find some more Q98.
Whilst he was away the "which Server"
discussion continued. Demon,
it seemed was being to edge ahead on that score. That discussion
was mistake No.2.
The out come was that Druss,
Saber
and Q98
Popeye would wait at Enta.Net
whilst Q98
Dave and two more Q98's
returned and Dandy
went off and looked for Mad Ferrit.
The bit Druss
and Saber
missed was the bit about all going to Demon
after ten mins to play there whatever happened. Mistake
No.3. Shortly after Q98
Dave returned and said that Q98.....
(whatever his God damn name was),
was coming along..... maybe. Geeerrrrrr.
So we waited, and waited, and still no sigh of a Q98
or Dandy,
what the Hell
was going on! In fact Dandy
was on Demon
waiting for us to join him, of course unbeknown to us. You should
be getting the picture by know! >:-|
After 15 mins or so patience starts to ware thin, Q98
Dave suggests a 2 Vs 2. Druss
and Saber
except despite the atrocious ping and the Levels
being DM, for
fear of yet another "Goto Server...."
cock-up and the fast advancing time. Of the Game itself there is
really little to say. Druss
jumped every level except the first and kept Q98
Dave below 13 frags
and down as low as 2 frags.
Saber
even managed to keep the second place player Q98
Popeye below or within a few frags
(it should be noted that he probably lost
more frags by blowing himself up due to lag than he gained!),
and that was that, as they say.
LOB
184
frags
Q98
75 frags
So
a win by 109
frags!
By
Saber.
