It is said that
this game will have 100 + the old 150= 250 monsters, and each
having their own gender which means there would be a girl and a
boy Pokémon!! New Tricks and New Abilities! Brand-new Pokémon
will learn brand-new tricks. It is said that over 200 tricks are
there, and there also will be brand-new abilities. The screen
image of the battles are much improved. Also, the Pokémon will
be more realistic, as they will be diurnal and nocturnal, meaning
you'd actually have to wait for them to wake up at a certain time
of day for them to fight. You can check the Pokémon pre-evolved
status! For example, you can see the Clefable's former data when
it was Clefairy in Red or Blue Versions. And some Pokémon may
evolve in Gold and Silver even if they were thought to have been
at their final evolution or Red or Blue Versions.
Since the Pokémon can be nocturnal or diurnal, means the game
will have a clock, or timer, to keep track of this. Also,
Nintendo may be planning for the game to be in Color. You can use
the skateboard as a new traffic facility! In addition to the
bicyle which you move comfortably in Red and Blue Versions, you
can use the skateboard to move fast and may be able to go
unexpected place in the Gold and Silver Versions.
Also, there's a new version of Pikachu in the game. He is a
nicely plump, BLUE Pikachu-looking creature, who is called Mariru,
meaning Marine Blue. His Amerian name is Marrill. As said before,
he will be plump, and that means he's plumper than Pikachu. He 's
made his apperance in the movie "Pokemon:The First Movie"
too. Also, the Pokédex will be upgraded and have some new
functions.
Because the Pokémon in this new game would have a specific
gender, Pokémon bears a child! All Pokémon that appear in the
Gold and Silver Versions are classified into male and female,
just as the case of Nidoran in the Red and Blue Versions. Pokémon
can be crossbred and make a baby by laying a "Poké-Egg"
if they are some species.
The main problem? The older versions of Pokémon, Pokémon Red,
Green, Blue, and Pikachu will NOT be able to READ the data of the
new monsters of the Gold and Silver Versions, but Pokémon Red,
Green, Blue, and Pikachu would be able to SEND their monster data
to the new version.
These graphics seem good and expect the game play to be even
better. The planned release of this game would be probably be
around November in Japan. The American release date would
probably be around the early year of 2000.
