Ash Ketchum |
|
Ash Ketchum is a 10 year old boy who set out to become the greatest Pokemon trainer of all time! |
On his tenth birthday Ash wanted to begin his journey one of three |
Pokemon available to beginners, Squirtle. However, on the morning |
of this event Ash slept in by accident and in a hurry, ran to |
Professor Oak's lab to recieve his Pokemon. When Ash got there |
he found his three rivals in Pallet Town had already taken all |
three Pokemon! Seeing Ash was worthy of a Pokemon, Professor Oak |
gave him one called Pikachu. At first Pikachu did not like Ash until |
the Pokemon was attacked by a horde of Spearows and he saved him. |
from Then on Ash and Pikachu became the best of friends. Their |
adventures led Ash to meet Misty, a girl who Ash had stolen a |
bike from to save himself and Pikachu from the Spearow attack. |
Ash soon caught other Pokemon such as Caterpie, Pidgeotto, |
Bulbasaur, Charmander and the one he originally wanted Squirtle. |
None of them topped the friendship he and Pikachu had though. |
During his travels Ash also met Brock, a gym trainer who he had |
defeated at the Pewter City Gym. |
Brock joined the group and they all set fourth into many adventures. |
|
Pikachu |
|
Pikachu is the master of Pikachus, and you may think that its |
because he is one of the main characters but it's not. |
Pikachu came from Professor Oak's labrotory meaning he wasn't |
born in the wild. Professor Oak said that Pikachu has a little problem |
but as Meowth claims, Pikachu's powers exceed its evolved stage, |
So obeviosly Pikachu is special. |
|
Misty |
|
Misty first met Ash when he stole her bike as she was fishing |
for water Pokemon. She soon caught up with Ash at the nearest |
Pokemon Center in Viridian City. Misty came to see the power in |
Ash's love for Pokemon and joined up beside him, wanting to |
become the greatest Pokemon trainer ever! She also wanted him to |
pay her back for the bike he had stolen and crashed. After Misty and |
Ash met up with Brock, Their journy led them to Cerulean City, the |
birthplace of Misty. The two boys soon learned that she was the |
little sister of three gym trainers there. Misty battled Ash to show |
her sisters what she had learned after running away from Cerulean City. During the battle |
Misty showed |
her skill of being a Pokemon trainer for the first time. From then on she and Ash |
became better friends but stayed the |
comedic element in the show when they bickered with each other |
constantly on their journy to find more Pokemon! |
|
Brock |
|
Brock was the gym trainer in Pewter City when Ash |
and Misty first met him. This older member of the |
trio was deserted by his father early in life and was |
given the responsibility of raising his many little brothers |
and sisters. After Brock saw Ash had truly earned a badge he |
followed him and Misty on their Adventure. Brock left only |
because his father who had finnally returned and agreed to take |
care of his brothers and sisters. During battles with Team Rocket, |
Brock showed his true abilty to fight and capture Pokemon. |
This was not his true calling though, since Brock only wished |
to be a Pokemon breeder, not a trainer. His expertise on Pokemon |
also helped Ash many times throughout his journey of capturing, |
training and fighting different Pokemon. |
|
Jessie |
|
Just like James no one really knows where Jessie really came from. |
In one episode James is lured to get married to a girl |
that looks just like Jessie(perhaps a sister?). In another episode |
we find out that Jessie was a member of a local bicycle gang |
with James, she was known as "Big Jes". James is Jessie's |
partner or maybe more in Team Rocket. Headed by Meowth the gang |
couldn't get into more trouble. |
|
James |
|
The origin of James is not that well known. |
But in an episode James must confront his past and get |
married to a lady that looks like Jessie. During another |
episode we learn that James had been a member of a bike gang in |
Sunny town, he was known as "lil Jim". Jessie is the partner of |
James in Team Rocket, headed by Meowth. James is genarally the |
idiotic of the group because he is always getting them in trouble. |
In one episode he buys a lame Magikarp from a dealer on the S.S. Anne. |
Because its worthless he kicks it and it evolves into Gyrados. |
He is also the one who always complain about things when there not |
going his way. He usually carries a rose when doing the Team Rocket |
motto with Jessie and Meowth. During some episodes James dreams of |
taking over Team Rocket and getting the cash. |
|
Meowth |
|
Meowth, despite being a Pokemon, is the boss of Jessie and James. And of course, the only way that's possible is if Meowth knew how to talk and amazingly he does earning him the honour of being the only Pokemon that speaks in the human language, as far as were conserned. Jessie and James either hates him or loves him, but most of the time they hate Meowth, due to his lazziness and bossines. He hopes one day he can capture Pikachu and become top cat again and get rid of Persian. |
|
Gary |
|
And of course, every hero has a rival that wants to one up him every chance he gets. In Pokemon, Gary is the one who wants to be better than Ash. Grandson of Professor Oak, he thinks that since his grandfather is in the Pokemon bussiness he should be the one who is the world's greatest Pokemon trainer. He is selfish and egotistical, even having his own band of cheer leaders to cheer him on. |
|
Mrs.Ketchum |
Ash's mom is like most mothers in that she cares for her son Ash very much and encourages him to follow his dream. Ash's father was also a Pokemon trainer, but his wareabouts are unknown. She's very protective but she means well. |
|
Professor Oak |
|
Professor Oak is Pallet Town's Pokemon expert. He is the one who prepares Pokemon trainers. He offers encouregment to Ash whenever he can. Ash's rival Gary is unfortunatly Professor Oak's grandson. |
|
Officer Jenny |
|
Officer Jenny is the one to call on if trouble arises. Like Nurse Joy, she has a family scatterd around the Pokemon world who look exactly the same. Depending on which Jenny Ash and his friends encounter, her attitude can range from cheerful to overly suspicious, but she's always helpful to them. |
|
Nurse Joy |
|
Joy is a Pokemon Center Nurse who's job is to help hurt Pokemon. However it seems that she's in every single Pokemon Center in the world... actually she has a large family that all look identicall. She's always ready to help whenever a desperate trainer needs his Pokemon healed up. |
