Bad Kharma Squadron Rules Of Engagement

The Lucky Ones

  1. An alcoholic beverage of some kind MUST be consumed during squadron flight ops.
  2. In order to preserve the sanctity of rule #1 In Flight Re-Schwal (IFRS) is allowed! Any pilot declaring IFRS, via IBS message, can assume his mates will acknowledge his aircraft is on autopilot and not engage or destroy it.
  3. Pilots are free to modify their "cockpit" and control surface input devices as they choose
  4. Cheat codes are not cricket
  5. Pilots are allowed to use any inherent capability their aircraft, or weapons, provided it does not conflict with Rule #4
  6. Unless prior agreement is made there is no "hard deck". Once the host declares "Weapons Hot" all parties are free to strafe, bomb, and gun for as long as their ammo and JP5 last.
  7. Any pilot who feels it is not cricket to be assigned to the same runway as an opponent during a deathmatch may exit/return for a new runway assignment
  8. During a 3-way deathmatch any pilot approaching a "furball in progress" must wait until either A) 1 of the participants is eliminated or B) The parties disengage before firing his weapons. Eliminated is defined as an IBS "kill" message stating this fact. Post "kill" message engine relights and/or roll recovery are allowed. Any party who is able to recover his aircraft due to superior pilot skill must now consider himself the third party. Disengagement is defined as separation of the aircraft in a non-converging direction and no movement is made, by either aircraft, to re-engage within 5 seconds. The third party is allowed to maneuver at will during the furball. Any tactical advantage gained during this maneuvering is considered a fact of life.
  9. The third party is subject to engagement by the other players at any time. If a third party is engaged rule #8 does not apply until someone is eliminated.
  10. Any pilot encountering significant difficulty due to IBS glitches may ask for a game restart.
