Introduction
The Aioly-Boysteam has managed to make a working backup of the original Bleem! Key-CD. Until now no-one managed this and it was thought it was just to hard to copy it.

The created backup has successfully been tested with Bleem! v1.2, v1.3b1 & v1.4

The original Key-CD has 2 DATA tracks and 32 AUDIO tracks. Only the 2 DATA tracks contain unreadable errors. The trick is to extract all AUDIO tracks to WAV files and trying to read as much as possible from the DATA tracks. The unreadable parts will have to be replaced by sectors from another CD (in this case Office Pro 97).

2 CD-R's (or 1 CD-R & 1 CD-RW) will be used to create the backup which will be done in two phases:

  • PHASE 1

  • The first phase will be used to recreate the DATA Track #7 which is created using different parts of the Bleem! Key-CD. The fixed DATA Track #7 will then be extracted from the CD-R (or CD-RW). After this the first CD-R is obsolete so better use a CD-RW if possible.
  • PHASE 2

  • In the second phase all needed tracks are extracted from the Bleem! Key-CD and from the CD-R. Now the actual Bleem! backup will be made.
NOTE: Keep in mind that these instructions may fail as a very good CD-Reader (Teac CD-532) was used to read parts of the DATA tracks.

For more info on CD-Readers which are capable in reading unreadable sectors from an protected CD.

Backup Preparation
Needed items to make the CD-Copy:
  • Original Bleem! Key-CD
  • CDRWIN 3.7C or 3.7D
  • Dummy CD with a Mode 1 track of at least 600 Mb (e.g. Office Pro 97 or a game)
  • 2 CD-R Media (or 1 CD-R and 1 CD-RW)
  • 680 Mb of free harddisk space
Backup Instructions
P H A S E   1
  • Create the following directory:
    • C:\TEMP\BLEEM
  • Startup CDRWIN and configure it show in the picture (click it to make it bigger)
  • Use the next table to create the 2 DATA tracks by extracting the Sector Ranges from either the Bleem! Key-CD or the dummy CD:

Track Name Sector Ranges CD to Use
track7.bin 28010-77706 Bleem! Key-CD
track7a.bin 77707-78500 Dummy CD
track7b.bin 78501-115165 Bleem! Key-CD
track7c.bin 115166-115300 Dummy CD
track7d.bin 115301-145586 Bleem! Key-CD
track7e.bin 145587-145700 Dummy CD
track7f.bin 145701-175184 Bleem! Key-CD
track7g.bin 175185-175800 Dummy CD
track7h.bin 175801-196574 Bleem! Key-CD
track7i.bin 196575-196700 Dummy CD
track7j.bin 196701-215777 Bleem! Key-CD
track7k.bin 215778-216100 Dummy CD
track7l.bin 216101-227375 Bleem! Key-CD
track7m.bin 227376-227450 Dummy CD
track7n.bin 227451-237149 Bleem! Key-CD
track7o.bin 237150-237700 Dummy CD
track7p.bin 237701-244528 Bleem! Key-CD
track7q.bin 244529-244700 Dummy CD
track7r.bin 244701-265051 Bleem! Key-CD
HERe are the dummy cd files  File 1
 File 2
  • All tracks, to recreate Track #7, have now been extracted to harddisk.
  • Use CDRWIN, this Cue-Sheet #1 & CD-R#1 to create the temporary DATA Track #7 (just copy it to the C:\TEMP\BLEEM directory).
  • When ready remove all the tracks from the C:\TEMP\BLEEM directory as they are not needed anymore.
P H A S E   2
  • Extract the 32 AUDIO tracks from the Bleem! Key-CD and make sure to use the original track numbering (e.g.: audio08.wav for

  • track 8) or just download this file: BLMAUDIO.ZIP[788 kb]
  • Use the next tables to extract the 2 DATA tracks from the Bleem! Key-CD & CD-R#1:

Track Name Sector Ranges CD to Use
track1.bin 00000 - 26950 Bleem! Key-CD

Track Name Sector Ranges CD to Use
track7.bin 00000-237041 CD-R#1
  • Track #1 should be 61.904 kb

  • Track #7 should be 544.456 kb
  • All tracks, to create the backup, have now been extracted to harddisk. Now use CDRWIN, this Cue-Sheet #2 & CD-R#2 to create the backup (just copy it to the C:\TEMP\BLEEM directory).
  • Use Bleem! with your own Bleem! CD-Key!
