Mortal Kombat 3
The game seems to be in very low demand now, But it is still a very good game in my book, On a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it a 7.
The graphics aren't the best out there, but they are very clean, for a 16 bit, side scrolling game it has pretty good graphics. The players movement is a little jerky, and the responce is to smooth, but the graphics overall surpass alot of snes games I have played in my time.
The sounds are very scratchy, and deep, But are very intuened with the game. For a game that has tons of blood and gory finishing moves. The sounds fit right in.
Sayings like, You suck, This very wierd guy poping out of the corner saying things. Bone snapping , blood spilling and screaming. This game has got some serious sound fx's!
The gameplay is not for the weak, if you dont like moving your fingers at about the speed of sound, and have lightning quick reflexes, Then you probably wont make it into the top ten players. We're talking 12 hit combo's here ! All the moves have to be done in very quick order, with persition timing. If you cant get the combo's down then your really in for some trouble when it comes to fatalities, hitting about 9 buttons within a period of about 5 seconds just for one. Very worthwhile blood- ridden finishing move, isnt always for evey one.
Well if your not into quick moving, blood spilling, bone chunking fighting games then this is definatly not for you, But on the other hand, If your into that kind of stuff, then this games is it! Very fun to play, doing those combos and fatalities just gets your blood boiling. Addictive moves, and unforgetable sound fx's, you fighting fans out there will love this game.+
