The Game
When Turok: Dinosaur Hunter came out last year it was a big hit. Now with the upcoming Turok 2: Seeds of Evil people can experience even more dino/alien blowing up and killing fun. If you don't know what Turok is well it's a first person game in which you are Turok. The story is taken from the Turok comic books. Probably the best thing about Turok 2 is the it has what the other seaquels don't. Most seaquels are just the same game will a different level design or some new stuff. Just made to make soom more bucks with not much effort put into it but it's not like that with Turok 2. If you didn't like Turok 1 don't avoide this game. It's gonna be different and better. If you're a fan of the first Turok than buy this game right now. Turok 2 will have completely new levels. Guns will be very different (not like in Doom where as most of those guns are the same with a few changes). This game will stand out from any other first-person shooter. Buy it!
The Story
The story in Turok 2: Seeds of Evil goes takes off where Turok 1 left off. After you kill the Campainger you throw the Chronosceptor into a volcano. This cause to awake the nastiest villain yet, Primagen who is trapped in a spacecraft that crashed on Earth a long time age. Even though he's trapped he manages to send out his army of aliens and dinosaurs that are transformed into killing machines. Turok now must find 7 energy tokens to prevent them from being destroyed in order to save the Earth. There are eight beautiful levels, much bigger than in the firt game, and lots of baddies. 45 different TYPES to be exact.
Game Play & Graphics
The game plays similar to Quake. You can jump, swim, shoot and the guys are 3D models unlike in Doom and Duke where as those guy look like cardboard cutouts. Also did you every get annoyed in Goldeneye when someones head or hands were sticking through the door, or in WCW vs NWO if you sometimes punched or kicked the guys hand or foot would go right through him? Well in T2 the character models will be "soft-skinned" meaning none of that stuff is gonna happen and the joints of the body parts that connect will be less noticibal unlike goldeneye were it was easily to spot the seperation of an arm and body. A lot less fog will also be used in this game letting you see more beauty and less light blue walls. If there is a deep fog this time it is only for effect. There is also going to be real time lighting affects which will make this game look great.
There is going to be a new hit-direction system similar to GoldenEye. When you hit an enemy you'll see precisely where your shot accually hit. The number of shots to kill a baddie will now depend on the strength of the enemy and where you hit him. One good shot to the head can kill a really though creature instantly while it will take numerous shots, if you hit them in the arms and legs, to kill weak enemies.
Multi-Player
Turok was a really good game except for a few things. After you play with codes and beat it, it gets boring and it only was a 1-player game. But all is gonna change in Turok 2. There will be an excellent multiplayer mode. It will feature 3 types of modes: 4-player Co-op, 4-player Bloodlust, and 4-player Frag Tag. In Frag Tag one person is "it". That person must get to a check point before he's killed. It might sound easy but it isn't. First of all that person has no weapons, second he has a target on his back so he'll be easily recognize and will be franticly running for his life. The other people are armed with big-ass guns and are ready to pump "it" full of lead. If "it" makes it to the check point another person is going to be "it". The Bloodlust is like the Live and Let Die mode in GoldenEye but now there will be numerous ways to escape from cornered place since people will be able to jump, climb, and swim. The level design will be a lot better than in GoldenEye with a lot more thing to do. The Co-op mode is like the co-op mode in Duke where people cooperate with eachother and kill the computer guys in the normal mode. Too bad GoldenEye didn't have this mode. It would of make the game a lot better even though it is already aswome. If you're wondering what weapons will appear
You will be able to choose from 8 different characters like in Goldeneye. There is Turok, a lady companian, aliens, Pur-linns (if you don't know them they are big & powerful creatures that appeared in Turok 1), raptors, and more. It won't be like in Goldeneye where everyone is the same (excluding Jaws and Oddjob). Each person will have his/her ups and downs. For example the Pur-lins are slow but powerful and can take in lots of damage before dying. If you're wondering what guns will be used in Turok 2 multi and normal mode well Acclaim doesn't want to spill it out but you can know that there will be new and better guns. From my reliable sources one of the weapons is a proximity fragmentation mine.
