The Game

Zelda 64 is highly the most anticipated game of all time. This game is made by Shigeru Miyamoto (creator of also F-Zero, Mario, Star Fox, Metriod, and more). This huge cartridge will be 256 megabits big. That's 1/2 a size of a DD disk. The game got delayed many times. The reasons are because Miyamoto wants to make this game EXCELLENT. As you can see from the images it's already looking GREAT.

The Story

The legend begins way before any other Zelda legends. At the beginning of the game you are small boy named Link. Then you gradually grow into a teen. Gannon is not the same looking pig-nosed freak. His name is Gannondorf and he is the king of thieves. It is up to you to try to stop him from becoming that evil and powerful monster called Gannon.

The Game Play

The game play will set new standards for RPG and Adventure. Games. It will feature a "lock on". This means if you see an enemy or something interesting press Z & hold it and it will lock onto that object. Then you can circle it; move forward, backward and you won't be stuck with a bad camera angel. Now for the first time you can jump in Zelda 64 by pressing B. It is also use to read signs, talk to people, climb ladders, push, pull, and so on. The left, bottom, and right C buttons will be similar to A. The A button is used draw your sword. Then if you press A again you will swing your sword. Hold it and you will do a traditional helicopter spin slice. The C button will be to use other weapons such as bombs, boomerang, and bow. When you press R you will block with your shield. The game is also said to have lots to explore and interact with many things and people.

The Graphics

The graphics are simply amazing. The main world is so big that it would take you 2 hours non-stop without Link's horse running to reach from one end to the other. That's where most of the space is being used. It is also said that the cartridge will have a clock so every somewhat minutes or hours the game will change from day to night.

Overall

This game will have everything an RPG or Action/Adventure fan ever wanted. There is lots to do in the game and many creatures to fight (new and older alike). It WILL definitely be out for Christmas '98 and it's on my Christmas list for sure. Then music will bring back good old memories of the older Zelda themes. The game will have 3 save slots built in so you won't need a memory pak. It is also said that it will ship in a gold plated cartridge just like the original Zelda for NES.
