Pokémon Gold / Silver
Pokémon Gold and Silver are the newest games for the nintendo gameboy. They include new trainers, a new map with new cities and towns and 100 new pokemon with new types. Some of the previous pokémon have new evolutions and there are some new items to help them evolve differently. There is a new main character instead of Ash and there are new gym leaders too. In the red, blue, and green versions of the game there are the three starting pokémon of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander. In the Gold and Silver versions there are three new pokémon of the same types. There is grass pokémon Chikorita, the water type Totdile, and the fire type Cyndaquil. Chikorita looks like a beige squash with a leaf on its head. Totdile is a small blue crockodile and Cyndaquil looks like a small black mole with a flaming backside. Here are pictures of these three new pokémon.

Some of the new evolutions that are in the gold and silver games are pre-evolutions. These are pokémon forms that come before the ones that are red, blue, green, and yellow. Some of these are Igglybuff the pre evolved form of Jigglypuff. Ceffa is the pre evolved form of Clefairy, Pichu is the form before Pikachu, Elekid is the form before Electabuzz, and Magby is the form before Magmar. There are pictures below for each in the order they are listed above. There are some other pre evolutions but this is all I we for now.

Like in Pokémon red, blue, and yellow there are the three legendary birds. There is Articuno of ice, Zapdos of thunder, and Moltres of Fire. But in Gold and Silver there are three more legendary pokémon. These ones are lions and there is Entei of fire, Suicune of ice, and Raikou of thunder. These ones appear as statues until you walk up to them in a tower in one of the towns. Then they will turn their trademark type color of either red, blue, or yellow and hop away. For you to see and capture one of these is just luck. They are very strong and if you manage to find and capture one it would be a good idea to keep it in you line-up. Here are some pictures of the three elusive lion pokémon.
