wraith's Rant and Rave |
May 26 - Rant'n'Rave The more I see of Excitebike 64, the more I want to try it. Screw Perfect Dark. Excitebike 64 is the way to go. The dumbest thing about Perfect Dark is that to see most of the game you need an Expansion Pak. They gave one away with the crappiest game ever made - Donkey Kong 64. I guess thats Nintendo's way of the month of screwing ppl out of their money. My money meanwihile if I was buying N64 stuff would be well spent on Excitebike 64 and Mario Golf. Yeah thats right - Mario F'n Golf. Its definitely one of my all time favorite games for any Nintendo system. I really like in multiplayer when u can taunt the other players by hitting the c buttons and the regular directional pad - not the gay ass analog one. I heard from a customer at the store I work at that his unofficial expansion pak wouldn't work with Perfect Dark either which is really stupid.
It's Mario Golf - Sweeeeeet!
May 4 - Rant'n'Rave Is not my favorite system. Donkey Kong 64 takes forever and is really frustrating. I loved Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Country 2 for the Snes. The third one was kinda crappy but I still like it more than Donkey Kong 64. My favorite game for the system is Super Mario 64 - pretty sad when you think about it. Nintendo has had around three and a half years to make games for the thing and the first game they released is the best (in my opinion).
Finally there is a chance for some salvation. Excitebike 64 was just released this past week. There is no way to screw up this classic nes title from fifteen years ago. At least I hope not. Perfect Dark is also being released soon (supposedly anyways) but I'll believe it when I see it. Perfect Dark probably won't be my cup of tea. They say that if you liked Goldeneye 007 then you should like this game. I liked 007 but I really sucked ass at it (in multiplayer anyways but the people I always played against played this game all the time therefore had ten trillion times the skill than I did. Also at this time I didn't own the system so the controller seemed funny to me - sadly it still does.
I think that the N64 controller design is the most RETARDED controller design in the history of controllers for video game systems. That stupid ass analog stick in the middle always feels like its going to break off. Sony's Playstation Dual Shock Controller is my favorite controller and the analog sticks don't feel like they are going to break off at any second and seem right even though they were an afterthought.
