  
 I know the number five was special to Gehn, but was it special the D'ni too?  Actaully 5 was not special to the D'ni, but Gehn mistakingly thought it was. Gehn only has childhood memories of D'ni and later whatever he was able to dig up in D'ni years after the fall of D'ni. To say the least Gehn was a little 'warped' and he would 'warp' everything he touched, such as his obsession with the number 5. Why weren't there five giant daggers in Riven? Catherine wasn't obessed with five, so I wouldn't expect to find a fifth one, however, there is at least one giant dagger missing which was mentioned specifically in the Book of Atrus...
