Tiramisu
Ingredients
250g tub mascarpone
425g carton of ready serve custard
15ml spoon of instant coffee dissolved in 350ml of boiling water, cooled
4-5 x 15ml spoons of Tia Maria liqueur
1/2 x 175g pack of sponge fingers
2 x 15ml spoons cocoa powder
How to make
Combine the mascarpone and custard with an electric whisk until smooth and creamy.
Then pour the coffee and Tia Maria into a shallow dish and dip in the sponge fingers one at a time.
Then layer half the soaked biscuits into a suitable size dish 20cm in diameter, and spoon over a layer of the mascarpone mixture.
Top with another layer of biscuits and the remaining mascarpone mixture.
Smooth over the top of the surface.
Sieve the cocoa powder over the top and serve.
Alternatively: layer up in six individual dishes.
