Welcome to the Sonic Characters Page!

This page gives a general description about the different characters in the "Sonic Universe". To go directly to something, click on the links below.

  • The Freedom Fighters (Guess what this talks about!)
  • The Baddies (Dr. Robotnik fans, click here!)
  • Other characters (Knuckles, the Chaotix, and other characters are featured here.)
  • First up, the Freedom Fighters!

    Sonic the Hedgehog

He's the leader (sort of) of the Freedom Fighters, with (like you didn't know already) the main character of this page. He loves chili dogs, wisecracking and above all trashing Dr. Robotnik. He also travels at a VERY high speed (rumor is that he can go as fast as the speed of light...)

Tails (full name: Miles "Tails" Prower)

Tails, Sonic's best friend, is no ordinary fox--he has two tails for flying like helicopter (which answers the question why he's called "Tails". Get it? Good!) He almost tries to copy Sonic in almost every way, but is still left in the dust after Sonic.

Princess Sally (full name: Sally Acorn)

Her father was King Maximillian Acorn, who ruled the late city of Mobotropolis before it was terrorized by Dr. Robotnik and was renamed Robotropolis. She helps the Freedom Fighters every step of the way, especially with her knowledge of the electronics of Robotnik's fortress with the help of her mini-computer, Nicole.

    Bunnie Rabbot

In her younger years, she was one of the first animals to be "Robotisized" by Dr. Robotnik. However, dur to an error midway through the operation, she was not robotisized completly. But this is an advantage to Bunnie, because in her cyborg state, she can reach high places with her retractable legs and arms. Robotnik is always looking for her to finish what he started.

    Antoine D'Coolette

A son of one of the King Acorn's soldiers, he is always carrying his sword with him wherever he goes. But he is a little bit of a coward (Okay, a LOT). Also, Sonic thinks that he is a total jerk (probably from saving him so many times from the clutches of Robotnik's SWATbots.).

    Rotor Walrus

He is the techno-whiz of the Freedom Fighters. Repeatedly, he has worked on many inventions, but his biggest challenge is trying to make a de-Robotisizer, but there has been problems with it. He is also one of the greatest fighters on the team.

    The baddies (boo!)

    Dr. Robotnik

He is the most-hated character on Mobius, but he doesn't stop terrorizing the animals of the planet, either. He "Robotisizes" the inhabitants to serve his evil purpose, and just to make sure no one causes trouble (like a certain hedgehog), he builds SWATbots by the hundreds. He is most known for banishing King Acorn to the Void. (A little known fact: Dr. Robotnik is called Dr. Eggman in Japan, where most of the Sonic games are based. Eggman...now that's a good description of him!)

    Snively

Dr. Robotnik's nephew, this little guy looks nothing like the obese egg of his "uncle". He tries to devise ways to get rid of the evil doctor so he can take over Mobius all by himself. It won't be an easy job, though; he almost always gets caught!

    Nack the Weasel

Introduced in SEGA's "Game Gear" game "Sonic the hedgehog Triple Trouble", he is mainly after the Chaos emeralds. (Isn't it strange that everyone is trying to get their mitts on these emeralds?!) He isn't after the awesome power of the emeralds like Dr. Robotnik, but he's after them to cash them in for big bucks. That means, if this wily weasel manages to get his hands on the emeralds, he'll have more money than Ed McMahon!

    Evil Sonic

A Sonic the Hedgehog from a parallel universe, this hedgehog hates everything that is "good", hates chili dogs, and practically everything opposite of our "good" Sonic. Well, what do you expect when Dr. Robotnik in the parallel universe is a good family doctor? Makes you shudder, doesn't it?

    Other characters...

    Knuckles the Echidna

The rival of Sonic. He's the guardian of the mystical Floating Island, and this job ain't an easy one; he has to ward off intruders that come to this floating rock. (That means everybody down below on the mainland isn't invited without his permission!) He now trusts almost no one, espicially after being duped by everyone's not-so-favorite ratfink, Dr. Robotnik. (This happened in Sonic 3 and Sonic Comics by Archie #13.) Sonic doesn't get off easy, either; nine times out of ten, they get in a fight (and Sonic is the one who starts it!)

    The Chaotix

    Vector Crocodile

This rappin' gator REALLY loves music; he has a Walkman so loud, it will blow you away! He loves to play video games, and to annoy every one with his music!

    Mighty Armadillo

This "mighty" armadillo is so strong, he can make Hercules look like a baby! His unparalleled strength makes him Knuckles' assistant in guarding the Floating Island when Knuckles goes out for long trips.

    Espio Chameleon

Blending into the background, Espio can get the jump on anyone that tries to attack. He loves to go fast (some say he can go almost as fast as Sonic!). However, for some reason, Knuckles can see him, even when Espio's invisible! (How? Well, like the Tootsie Pop commercial, "the world may never know.")

    Charmy Bee

This bee may be small, but she has a strong sting. Charmy can get the overhead view of things, though it's not known whether Charmy can airlift people, like what Tails does.

    Heavy and Bomb

Formerly two of Dr. Robotnik's best mechanics, these two assist Knuckles and the Chaotix whenever they can; Heavy, because of his smarts, and Bomb, because of his attacking power. They also keep a set of power jewels that have special...well, powers!

    Geoffrey St. John

Not included in the Chaotix (the list ends at Heavy and Bomb), this stink of a skunk assists Princess Sally, but is not as popular as Sonic. In fact, he loves the Princess, which is not to Sonic's liking. In retaliation, Geoffrey calls Sonic an amateur. Could it be jealousy?
