Jessie is the female component of the egotistical pikachu-snatching trio known as Team Rocket. Team Rocket, of course does not consist of this trio, but they are just a small group within the large squad. Whether you prefer Musashi, her Japanese counterpart, this 17 year old (or thought to be 17 at the moment) is very much into her looks. She has an air of maturity, but also (unfortunately) a sense of other people's inferiority to her. Appearance is the most important thing to her, and she prides herself on her elegant face and youthful exterior, becoming enraged when someone even hints at cracks in her beauty.
Like James, she is a narcissist, but occasionally she shows her kinder side (though that is quite rare). She also holds no fear for speaking her mind, no matter how brash or arrogant she may sound. The ultimate feminist, she is strong, determined, independent of men, and isn't afraid to whack certain TR members upside the head when required.
Although her past is vague, it has been known that Jessie was poor as a youth. As a child, she wanted a doll set for her own to come from Santa. Unfortunately for her knowledge, she finds out that someone is impersonating Santa, known as a Jynx. Crushed, she lost her Christmas spirit. In a later time of her life, she had a chance to win the doll set. Unfortunately she lost the battle (this episode may have been the same episode she have obtained Lickitung). Jessie probably disliked her poverty and decided to leave home. Later on, she met James in a bicycle gang. Her nickname was known as "Chainer-Jess" for she swung a chain over her head. Jessie (along with James) were much beloved by their fellow gang members, although she has come across those in her path who are not as friendly. Either before the gang or afterwards, she and James attended a Pokemon Technical Academy in which they failed and received the title as the two who received the lowest grades. Finally, Jessie and James managed to Team up with the logo containing a large red R.
Like all girls who wish to make a mark for themselves in the world, Jessie has enemies of her own-some that are revealed, and some that we may never know about. One such person that we do know about is Cassidy (of Butch and Cassidy, another group of Team Rocket), whom was a child rival, most likely in more ways than one. Still, despite her obstacles in life, Jessie keeps her head up and trudges through it all.
Any person who is a fan, would notice that Jessie and James dress up often. They do this in order to achieve the goal they are aiming. Usually James ends up dressing as a female with Jessie. (see James' page for more information on the explanation of their dressing up)
Her one weakness (other than the fact that she is infuriated by insults about her face) is her interest in men. She shows this when she demanded that Ditto transform into a version of her first boyfriend, and also when she melted at the request of Dr. Proctor to attend in helping injured pokemon. This vulnerability she has appears, but most of the time she manages to keep it in check, struggling to keep her eloquent composure.
To James, she is his partner-in-crime, and yet, there is something deeper that is never fully delved into. Although both are equally vain and rude at heart, that makes all the more reason for their love for each other to be evident. Several instances illustrate this, such as when Jessie was reunited with James after escaping his parents, and when James vowed to win the "ultimate test" for Jessie when she had been disqualified. Of course they care for one another like best friends do, but it is still uncertain for Jessie and James to be natural lovers. Perhaps these star-crossed lovers will one day show their true emotions.
Jessie's view on Meowth seems to be a rather low one. Jessie and James at times forget about Meowth entirely, or they would just trade him away for their benefit. This doesn't make Jessie a bad person to Pokemon, for she shows true bonding to Ekans/Arbok. Whenever her pokemon is lost or damaged, she mourns for it, hoping that it would return to her one day. Similar to this, Jessie feared that Dr. Procter actually killed her pokemon. "I told you to cure it! Not kill it!"

Jessie arrogence and narcisstic ways usually lead to bad conclusions. She should not only be remembered for these traits, but also for her positive contributions. This woman is a leader and a friend. She cares for her own pokemon and doesn't abuse her pokemon privilages. She is one of a kind.

James or Kojiro is one of three members of the infamous organization known as Team Rocket. James, at 17 with his 5'10 stature, green eyes and blue hair, is one of the funniest members of the team. Many of his antics include cross-dressing in several disguises, dreaming of being rich, eating all kinds of foods, and somehow always "blasting off" in one way or another. One of his most embarrassing moments? getting the lowest scores in the history of The Pokemon Technical Academy.
James was not always a team rocket member, being the son of a wealthy family he was born in luxury, and it shows in some of gentleman-like ways, unfortunately he ran away when his family doomed him to marrying his fiance Jessie-Bell. Later he joined a bicycle gang in a town across from Sunny Town, where he met his long time partner of the future Jessie. Known as Trainer Jim, He was the only one in the gang that still used training wheels on his bike. Finally he winded up joining Team Rocket along with Jessie. There the third member, Meowth, would be introduced. He devoted his life now to capturing rare and unusual Pokemon for their boss Giovanni. One of the Pokemon his team is dedicated to capturing is that rare Pikachu who happens to be owned by a 10 year old trainer named Ash.
Ash along with his group of Brock and Misty make up some of James's rivals. Another team of rivals also comes close to home, they being Butch and Cassidy the other Team rocket members. However his rivalry with them does not go as deep as it does for Jessie, who utterly detests them. Along with his Pokemon Koffing/Weezing, he battles his rivals in hopes of being triumphant, but somehow he always manages to lose one way or another. Always before a confrontation he joins Jessie and Meowth in their famous motto.
As for his love life, there are many uncertainties. Some take his cross dressing as a sign that he has "fruity" tendencies ( ex. Holiday at Aculpo episode ). But still there is more evidence of his love for females. In one instance he fell in love with a ghost, who ended up being the Pokemon Gastly in the episode of "The Ghost of Maiden's Peak" . In "The School of Hard Knocks" episode he said the trainer Gisselle from the Pokemon Tech was "awfully cute.." and still there is the question of his feelings for his partner Jessie. Some take evidence from the Holy Matrimony episode where in the end they bond on their balloon in the sunset. Others take words he said in "The Ultimate Test" episode, when he wanted to win the battle in Jessie's name. And still there are the older episodes of the Saint Anne series where they thought the end was near. All in all their relationship is confusing and it has its ups and downs. Perhaps we get a clearer view of the two in the future.
