Pokedex Entry: This pokemon is vulnerable to attack while its shell is soft, exposing its weak and tender body. Hardens its shell to protect itself. However, a large impact may cause it to pop out of its shell.
Notes: Metapod has a reasonable amount of defense, but little attack power. DO NOT catch a wild Metapod, or it will only have the useless harden attack. Instead, evolve one from a Caterpie, and it will still retain its tackle and string shot abilities. In this cocoon form, Metapod develops quickly into a Butterfree. Not compatible with TMs.
* These attacks can only be learned by a Metapod who has been raised froma Caterpie.
