Get paid to surf the web!
Now that the world wide web has
become the biggest international market for
buying and selling goods, advertising on it has
become a major industry. Many compaines will pay good money to have people view
their ads. Due to this a large quantity of "Paid
to Surf" programs have developed.
These programs, through use of small bar programs rotate through a series of ads while you
are either on-line, or surfing the web. And PAY you to view them! Along with these there are also a
number of other programs that you can use to make money while surfing, and almost all of
them will PAY you to have your friends view their ads as well!
The basic format on most of the
"Paid to Surf" ad programs is the same, they put a bar, about an inch tall, on
your screen that pops up ads, and then pay you anywhere from 40-60 cents per hour for
having it there. Dosen't seem like much, but it does ad up, take it from someone who
makes well over 100 dollars a month from these programs. Most of them are fairly
un-obtrusive, have some good ads, and you can run 3-4 different ones at once, as well as
using other internet ad programs that arn't bars. But the big kicker is what are
refered to as "referal" programs. When you sign up for an account with
most companies they will give you a user name, you then pass this name on to your friends.
When they sign up they will have the option of putting in a referal name, and by
using yours, YOU get paid anywhere from 10-30% of what they make! From there, they
go on through multiple levels as they sign on friends, and you get paid, etc, usually for
3-5 levels of referals.
Well, I'm sure you are
starting to get the idea, and probably want to go out and give some of these programs a
shot, and yes, contrary to popular belief they do work. Below is a list of some of
these services, with some specfic details about each of them. It only take a few
mintues to sign up for most of them, so give it a shot, you don't hav emuch to lose!

All Advantage:
Alladvantage was one of the premier makers of the ad bar
service. It has and probably will stay my personal favorite. The
"Viewbar" program is one of the best out there, very rarly crashing or commiting
errors, none in my experiance, and the people who work there seem to be fairly competant.
This is a full length ad bar, approx. 1 in. tall, that does ont require you to sign
in each time you want to use it. It pays $.50 per hour, with a current max of 25
hours a month, though they plan to up it to 40 hours in the near future. it also
runs 4 levels of referals, at $.10 per hour for your first referals, and $.05 per hour for
the next 3 levels. A+
mValue:
Very nice full length bar, similar to alladvantage.
Currently only 10 hours per month, but that will go up fairly soon. $.50 per hour
and until they raise to a more sutable hour limit there are a lot of extra contests and
bonuses. Works when on-line not just surfing, and is a very well-made program.
.10 for direct and .05 for indirrect referals. Has the advantage of a bar
telling you how your doign right on the bar, instead of having to log-in. Can be
downloaded immediatly. A+
PrizeWindow:
The prizewindow ad bar is slightly differnt than Spedia
and Alladvtange. It is fully mobile around the screen, instead of only going at the
top or bottom, and only goes for about 4/5 of the length of your monitor. Another
advantage is this will show ads and generate profits whenever you are connected to the
internet, inntead of just when you are surfing. This is another Ad point type
service, giving 60 points per hour. A-
EPipo:
This is a very nicely done program, with a competent
staff. And they acctually have a sense of humor which is always nice. It pay
$.60 per hour, with a 50 hour a month max, and 5 levels of referals at $.10 per hour, nice
payment. Only current prolbme is a waiting line on the ad bar download, but
definately worth signing up for, even if you have to wait a little to use, you can always
get referals in the meantime. A+
ValuePay:
Set up slightly differnt, it is a similar idea, view
ads, sign up friends, get paid. But instead of the normal bar, this puts a small bar
in the top right corder of your browser, next to the little picture that tells you your
loading a page. I have to do some further research on this one, but it looks good.
It Ads Up:
Here is another fairly nice one, viewbar program similar to
alladvantage, $.50 per hour, and basic referal program. Got a nice max at 60 hours
per month. This one also currently has a waiting line on software, but hopefully
that will soon change. So, with the possable exception of a bad joke for a
name, a good program overall. A
Spedia:
Spedia is another nice viewbar service. It has an
only slightly buggy ad bar, and the set-up is fairly nice. Expect to wait about 3
days after you create an account to start using it, but during that time you can still
gain referals. It pays in a slightly differnt manor, by give you 60 "ad
points" per hour. At the end of the month, each ad point is given a value based
upon their income from advertisers. In most cases 60 ad points translates to 45-60
cents. You also gain 25% on referals. The biggest advantage to this service is
unlimited ad points per month. It also has many other ways ot gain ad points
including e-mail advertising, and signing up for certain programs from their advertisers.
Both of which are fully optional. A-

Dollars:
Fairly nice program with a lot of extra options and
bonuses. $.50 per hour, and a nice referal program with 6 levels. Currently a
40 hours per month Max. On the downside their profitZone software while toerable
isn't very well done, and can be rather annoying, but only 2/3 length on your screen.
It is a good program to use when you have maxed out other viewbars. A-
Oh, and for anyone reading this far who looks and
says geeze, everything has a good rating, whats the point, i'll let you note that there
are currently around 30 of these programs out there, i'm just listing the good ones, and
the ones I personaly have/use and know arn't scams.
Here is a list of other ad bar services that I
havn't yet had a chance to review, check back later and hopefully i'll have them done.
Utopiad
GoToWorld:
Not a terrible service, instead of the normal bar this
is a browser, similar to I.E. or Netscape, not a bad set-up, seeing as you get paid for it
unlike netscape, biggest problem in this case is that many of the active surf bars arn't
compatable, so you won't be able to double it up with anything but the bars that work as
long as your connected to the internet without need of an open browser. B
Desktop Horizon
Surf Miles:
Still working on getting their viewbar program running
to all the users, also offers a program that gives you surf miles based on how much you
spend at any of a number of sites, including such sites as amazon.com in most cases this
works out to something like a 4.5 or 5% rebate, not bad. A

Next is a bit of info on some other internet
advertising programs I have found that are worth looking at.
Pointclick:
Pointclick is a network of internet stores, currently a
few hundred, including amazon, ebay, and other major names. What it does, is give
you 1 credit for each site within their network that you click into, as long as you access
it through pointclick's site. Each credit can then be paid out as $.01 cash, or $.02
credit for sites within their network, I personally prefer the credit method. It has
a max of 3500 credits per day, if you have way to much time on your hands.
Mypoints:
Another shopping network, this gives you credits for
reading sponsered e-mails, buying stuff from certain sites, and a bunch of other assorted
programs, you can then use those credits to buy stuff from the sites in the network.
SpeedyClick:
This is a rather fun little site, basicly a collection
of contests, games, surveys, and just about everything else of that nature. By
participateing in surveys, winning games and contests etc you earn "Speedybucks"
which you can then use to buy stuff from their auction site, good if yer bored or just
have some time on your hands. Accessable through Pointclick.
Epinions:
This site pays you to write opinions and reviews of
movies, books, etc.
