About Assassinations

OK quite often when we go to war there will be assassins out. If this is the case we will give you a list of places which are safe for you to visit and be free from assassinations. Safe Havens for other Forums, Personal safe havens and hospitals and temples ARE NOT safe havens in the RWC We can't stop you from going into these places BUT if you do please go cloaked. ( go to buddy setup, privacy preferences, and block all or block all but a certain group of people listed. do it for Buddy list only NOT Buddy list and Instant messages, remember to hit save) I would ask that you are not always cloaked during wars and that you also search for fights BUT if going out in Rhy'din do wear them. We had one AA situations come up before we don't want it to happen again.

If you are caught DO NOT run. An assassin and a Proctor will be coming into the room. The Proctor is the one who is logging and telling everyone what to do. IF there is a member of your guild with you they can act as your Body guard(s). IF anyone Punts get back ASAP and contact the Proctor or the assassin to make arrangements to continue the match. This includes guards and person attacked. You will most likely be asked if you want to take it to a PR for the actual match. I would do so as to not bother others with the attack.

I will have a bit on what a proctor says here a the end. Sometimes Assassins will try to trick people into an assassination attack. One way is sending an invite for a Spar. Technocally Assassins are not supposed to attack anyone who has been askedto Heal, ProctorOR Fight in a war match BUT it has beenknown to happenin the past so be careful. Use the war rooms (I.E., safe fighting Rooms) as the places to fight. Modified Rooms cannot be sent in invites NOR can rooms with similar sounding names be sent as invites but some people do try to do them anyway. Do check the war terms to make sure it's a safe haven before you go and use the link in the war terms NOT one sent by messager.

You can be asked to help with a fight, a damsel in distress can approach you infinite variety of tricks. If it's someone you don't know. (or someone from the enemy side eve if you do know them) DO NOT accept an invitation to a room with them.

AA stuff I.E. what a proctor would say for a match:

Information on Guards from the RWC Assassins Rules:

  1. A guard is defined as a combative member of an RWC registered combative guild whose purpose is to block and/or retaliate an assassination attempt when called by the target.

  2. Guards may be of any rank.

    1. Commanders, Generals, Colonels, and Majors that are called to guard will guard as the rank of Major on the above guard chart.

    2. Anyone called to guard that is below the rank of Major will guard at their RWC combative rank using the BSR on the guard chart.

  3. All ranks are allowed to have one guard. Guards must hold combative membership in the same guild as the target.

  4. Guards must be present in the room when the assassination attempt isannounced by the proctor.

    1. No late guards will be permitted once the assassination attempt has started.

  5. Guards will use their RWC combat rank, but will use the standardized dice chart for their corresponding rank to find their percentage to succeed.

    • Example: A member with a rank higher then Major will guard as a Major on the standardized chart, hence having a 35% chance of blocking and/or retaliating in an assassination attempt.

Guard Rank Chart

Rank Dice BSR
Major 2d20 26 or better
Captain 2d20 28 or better

Corporal 2d20 34 or better
Warrior 2d20 34 or better

(More stuff from EvilOlita1)

Math Breakdown: All rolls will be compared to the Base Success Roll (BSR). The dice given are 2d20. The highest roll you can have is 20 20, for a total of 40 (there is no hit scale in this model, it is all simple addition).

Example: A Master Assassin must roll a total of 20 or better to succeed in his task. (basically you add dice 1 to dice 20 to get the points if it's above the BSR then you are successful)
