Course Four Training(Modified from the HoSD training packets) Congrats on your training thus far. You have made it to course four, and in this course the procedures for proctoring will be covered extensively. Proctoring a match wether it be a spar, HM, SM, DM(wartime) or a POW match it should have your undivided attention. Proctoring is the most important part of a match, as you will see below, the proctor has total authority over the match and its occupants. Logging a MatchAt the top of your screen is the word FILE or My Files . Once you click upon this a pull down list will appear, proceed to click upon Log Manager . You will then see two options Chat Log, and Session Log. You want to click upon open log under the option Chat Log. Give your log a name, Example: sinwar1.log . Eleni and Rue are to fight a wartime DM, here is an example of a proctors job.... A) First the proctor turns on the log stating this in the room like so: *************LOG ON************** B) Quieting the room: "All parties not fighting please refrain from any action within the room. Also please take chat to IMs. Any person whom refuses do this will be asked to leave" This is an important thing to remember for if there is too much chatting, your log becomes to long and is unable to read. Note as acting proctor you are more or less *God*. Thus meaning you hold *court* over the match and in doing so your word means law. C) The proctor first states what war the two fighters are fighting in. Ex:"This is a POW (or DM) Match for the SiN/OtherGuild War and the date and time. 1/1/00 (this for jailbreaking purposes) Next the proctor calls for terms which are as follows for a wartime Match. DM to 20 rounds using guild dice, no selfies, 10 minute punt rule and 1 minute action rule(can have 2 minute rule as optional). Healing will be allowed after the 10th round between rounds 11-20 before a fighter takes his/her strike. OR POW match to 20 rounds using guild dice, no selfies, 10 minute punt rule and 1 minute action rule. Healers will be allowed to heal after the 10th round, between the 11 and 20th round before fighter takes his/her strike. After the terms are stated the proctor asks if both parties fighting agree to terms... Or like this: This is a Commander's PoW Match in the Guild1 vs. Guild 2 War. Date: March 13th, 2000. Time: 12:00AM EST. All Standard RWC Rules and Regulations for a Commander's PoW Match.� Or like this: This is a Commander's Death Match in the Guild1 vs. Guild 2 War. Date: March 13th, 2000. Time: 12:00AM EST. All Standard RWC Rules and Regulations for a Commander's Death Match.� D) Calling for the match to begin: Once terms have been stated and agreed upon, quiet the room and call for the fighters to state name, guild, rank and rank dice as well ask if fighters are POWed or *dead* in the currant war or any others their guild is fighting in. Once this has been done, ask if healers will be used (wartime matches only). If so then please ask for each party healing to state thier name, rank, rank dice and person for whom they are healing for as well if they are POWed or *dead* in any war, for the log. With this done call for initiative roll. 1D6 (//roll-dice1-sides6, or //roll-sides6-dice1) is the dice roll for initiative. Once this is done the person with the highest roll goes first and his/her opponent has honor. Below is an example:

and got a 6 Once this has been said, you call for fighters to strike when ready "bow to opponent and strike when ready" �"Let the Pumbling begin"�OR "Strike when ready" OR any variation of these. E) Keeping Score: After the person with honor strike makes his roll you announce the score. Example:

15 27 (15=1 27=3 for a total of 4) F) Mistakes in roll and scoring and excedence of the 1 minute action rule: If a fighter makes a mistake with his dice, call out HOLD!!! and ask the fighter to reroll using the proper dice. If the fighter refuses, the match is forfeit on his part and he looses. Example:
BlackVelvetSkye rolled 2D40 30 28 1. Scoring mistakes: If you make a mistake in keeping score most assuredly the parties fighting will let you know. Don't get upset for you can correct it. Example: Say its round2 and Eleni scored no points but Rue scored 2 more hits. You mistakenly call out this Eleni -4 {round2} Rue -8. Considering in round1 the score was Eleni -4 Rue -5. You call out Hold!! Correction of score for round 2. Eleni-4 {Round2} Rue-7. Mistakes do happen so do not get discouraged for it could cost you another mistake. 2) If the one minute action rule has been stated in terms then you must time the match. When a fighter exceeds the one minute rule you call Hold!! and state that said fighter's time is up and he/she has forfeited their strike, then let his/her opponent know they can proceed with his/her turn. It is often times fair to give fighters one warning to watch their time before calling their strike forfeit should they exceed the one minute action rule. 3) The 10 minute punt rule. Should a fighter become punted during a match then he/she has 10 minutes to return or that punted fighter forfeits the match to his/her opponent You must time when fighter punts for the log so no foul play can be called. You must state time of punt in 2 minute intervals. When and if said fighter returns from his punt, time must be stated along with acknowledgment of his/her return. However, if said punted fighter does not return, you must state, after the full 10 minutes has elapsed, that fighter has forfeited said match by punt default. Example:
Proctor: Begin Round 20 Remember that once fighters roll intuitive and should a fighter punt right afterwards, then and only then will punt time take effect. Example: If say Eleni had punted after terms were state and her healers stated then the match would not be considered void should she punt for the 10 minutes. However, an allowance of say 5 mins is optional to allow Eleni to get back so that match can continue before closing the log. G) Ending the match and turning off the log: Once the final score is reached it is the proctors job to state the winner and ask fighters if they contest the match, and send the log off to the proper people. (Usually a mailing string for the war is sent guild wide before the war begins for just this reason) Example:
Proctor: Eleni -16 {ROUND19} Rue-18 **************LOG OFF****************************** Turning the log off is the same as turning it on,but instead of clicking open log, you click close log. Once your log has been turned off, go to compose mail and click the attach button. This will open up your list of files....find the title you used and highlight and click okay. Then go to the top of your letter and type whom the logs are to go to. In the subject matter you need list what war the match was fought for Ex: Subject: POW match for the SiN/GuildX war. In the body Copy and paste the log at the TOP of the log Place the Following:
