ARMY SELECTION
Characters0 to 50%Up to half of the points value of the army may be spent on characters. This includes the cost of monsters ridden by characters.
Regiments25%+At least a quarter of the total points value of the army must be spent on Regiments. This does not include the cost of Champions who are paid for out of the Characters allowance.
War Machines0 to 25%Up to a quarter of the points value of the army may be spent on war machines.
Monsters0 to 25%Up to a quarter of the points value of the army may be spent on monsters. This does not include the cost of monsters ridden by charactes, which must be paid for from the Characters allowance.
Allies0 to 25%Up to a quarter of the points value of the army may be spent on allies chosen from the following lists: Chaos, Undead, Orc & Goblin.

Hate High Elves: Dark Elves hate their ancient enemies the High Elves so intensely that they will often fight them to the death rather than fun away. When fighting High Elves, Dark Elves are affected by the rules for hatred.

Cold Ones: Cold Ones are large and frightening and so cause fear. They are not very bright creatures and become confused easily and so are therefore subject to stupidity. They are large, thick-skinned and very difficult to kill. They are cold-blooded and hardly seem to be affected at all by wounds that would cause a warm-blooded creature to writhe in agony. A Cold One rider therefore receives an extra bonus onto his armour saving roll, +2 rather than +1 for other calvary mounts such as horses or Dark Steeds.
