This is the most legnthy part of the article, because after all... What worthy
Bretonnian would not have any knights?
Knights Errant: Well, these young knights have a lot to learn. They provide a nice
alternative model, but do not bring much to the tabletop. They are humans with lots of
armor and lances. I belive that they are not a very economical solution to you knightly
needs. I will give them this though, they are a must if you take the Fey Enchantress.
Pros: Cheaper, Good with the Fey Enchantress
Cons: Not very good for their point costs
Relevent Situations:
*Fey Enchantress
*Larger Battles
*If You Have Extra Points
Recommended Unit Size: 13-15 w/ Fey, (10 lance)
Knights Of The Realm: These are a must for any Bretonnian general. These knights
should make up the bulk (if not all) of your knight points. They are the best knights in
the Bretonnian army (Point costs and skill) and you should have hundreds of them. I always
try to take as many as possible.
Pros: Cheap for what you get, Good all around
Cons: They are exspensive, so don't let them sit around
Relevent Situations:
*ALL THE TIME!
Recommended Unit Size: 12-16 (10 for lance)
Questing Knights: These knights do not differ much from Order Knights, except their
I 4 and immunity to panic. And they only cost two extra points. Now, I would not go as far
to say they are a better value than Knights Of The Realm, but they are good for their
point costs.
Pros: Not too expensive, Immune to panic
Cons: All considered, their abilities are not as usefull as they sound
Relevent Situations:
*If your knights tend to run alot
*If your enemy has I 3 or less (Empire, O&G, Dwarves, ect.)
Recommended Unit Size: 10-12 (10 Lance)
Grail Knights: Well, what can I say. These knights, while good... scam you on
points. You do not think that 6 points will matter, but in the long run it does. I would
only consider taking these vs. chaos or elves, but I would think twice. If they die, you
tend to lose alot more than you realize.
Pros: WS 5 I 5 LD 9, Immune to psychology (They can still be broken in HDtoHD,
remember)
Cons: Expensive, Large investment
Relevent Situations:
*Large Battles
*Fights vs. Truly Evil Things (High I and WS)
Recommended unit size: 5-7 (6 for lance)
