Alright, the looks of a wellpainted mini can be ruined by not finishing the model properly. Many painters doesn't do bases at all except for painting them black. Here's how I do it. This is a really quick way of making a goodlooking base without spending to much time on it. This procedure takes 5-10 minutes at the most.
I paint the whole base black so no white will shine through. It doesn't need to cover
completely but get a good dark base.
Glue the base and put your favorite flock on it. I actually use ground pepper for this. I
think it works better than wooden flock.
Paint the whole thing darkdark green, almost black.
Drybrush once very briskly with light green.
Drybrush again with an almost yellow mix and there, your masterpiece is finished.
