- Army advances.Stegadon and skinks charge the flagellents. Terradon charges winged lancers,he drops his rock and kills a lancer. Other skinks shoot at halflings andkill two. Stegadon crushes the unit of flagellents, reducing it to three!The terradon dies but one crewskink survives. In magic, the slann triesfiery convocation but it is dispelled. Casts shield of teclis (or whateverit is called!!) on the outriders to stop them moving (later they pass theirtest with no problems!)

- Army advancesslowly. Pegasus lands behind the mage priest. Halflings shoot saurus butkill none. The cannon misfires and is out for the next turn. Stegadon finishesoff flagellents. Lancers don't kill the lone skink and he keeps them heldup for another turn. Magic, mage casts loads of fireballs at the frog but(even though I didn't dispel it) he causes no harm to the tough slann.

- Stegadon andskinks charge the lancers. Temple guards charge the mage and he flies away.They are left right infront of the vicous outriders! Slann charges thepegasus. Skinks move forward and shoot the halflings. Stegadon decimateslancer unit leaving three. Woth a major -4 to their ld, they roll a 2 anddon't run. Everyone then laps around them. Slannboy with his ten attacks(5 to the rider, 5 to the pegasus) kills both in one strike!! Magic, theslann tries to cast apotheosis but is dispelled by the lvl. 2 wizard.

- Charge!! Twopegai swoop down, 1 behind saurus and 1 behind stegadon. The stegadon standsand shoots and really devastates the pegasus, killing the champion andwounded the pegasus. Empire general charges the saurus. And lvl 2 wizardmoves infront of the temple guards. Halflings charge the skinks. Battlestandard moves behind the outriders. Four outriders shoot at the templeguards and kill one. Stegadon kills off the lancers and the pegasus. Generalkills the saurus champion who offered his life in a valiant challenge!But the unit doesn't run even with an overkill of 2. 2 skinks die but take5 halflings with them. Magic, and lvl. 2 wizard casts fireball at templeguards and the slann fails to dispel. Two temple guards fall.

- Stegadon ,the lone skink and temple guards charge the wizard. Cold ones charge thegeneral. Slann and skinks move forward. Stegadon tramples the wizardwith his auto hits alone! But they are left in the range of the outriders.1 skink hero, 1 saurus, 1 skink and 2 cold ones only get one wound on theempire general. He kills two saurus. With the standard etc., the lizardswin the combat but the general easily passes his test. Skinks reduce thehaflings to four who in turn kill none. Saurus kills the pegasus with somegreat dice rolls! The empire wizard drains the battle field of magic beforethe slann can cast anything.

- Outriderscharge stegadon. It stands and shoots but kills not one rider. Dwarfs moveforward for the first time. The battle standard rides about the place.Flagellents charge cold ones in the flank. Wizard lands right in frontof the skinks. Cannon mills down two saurus warriors with an almighty boom.The temple guards for some reason disappear from the battlefield, due tosome freak wind of magic (actually, at this point I realised that I hadmiscalculated my army and not included the points value of the guards,and I took them away and gave Niall the victory points. We all actedwith good humour and the problem was solved quickly). The hero challengesthe empire general but he doesn't die, clinging onto one wound. 1 flaggelentdies but two cold ones die. I had to get 5 or under for the coldones to past their test. I rolled the first one : a 6! The second one:a 4!! And I prayed to the lizard gods and rolled the last dice, it wasa 1!!! Sotek had saved me! The skinks killed no halflings, the haflings killed no skinks. The stegadon loses nothing and kills 5 outriders!! Magic,the slann dispelled four fireballs.

- Skinks chargethe wizard who runs. They go their full charge range, in hope that theywill get near the village. They end up 8" away, too far. The loneskink runs as far as he can but is still too far away from the buildings.The other saurus charge the general. The slann charges just his full chargerange into the flagellents. The skinks kill one halfling and the halflingskill one skink. They end up in a draw. The fearless saurus leader sacrificeshimself in a challenge with the general. He dies horifically with an overkillof two. The frog wreaks havoc on the flagellents and kills 5 of them. Beingdrug-crazed priests, they can't run away, damn!! Another cold one fallsand another flagellents dies too. The saurus easily pass their ld testwith the prescence of their master. The stegadon loses a wound but killsall but one outrider. Fearing the huge beast, they run and give me thefinal two victory points. There is no magic and the lizardmen win the battle!
