Born in Damascus, Syria 1956 spent all his childhood there then at the age of 25 moved on to beruit , Lebanon. this was the period of the civil war and the on going conflict between palistian rebles & israli miltary forces. Worked as a journalist writing for a number of magazines. in the summer of 1982 the israli forces attaked and occupied the south west and east coasts of lebanon. He was then forced to leave and headed for Cyprus,nicosia there he worked for a palistinian magazine as a reporter of the middle east issue. He was to live most of his later years in London , England where he wrote and buplished a series of well known to ths day poems. In 1993 He released the 1st monthly cultural review for arab woman writers Al Katiba
Nouri Al Jarrah then became a journalist of travel he moved to cyprus once again the year was 1998. then he published al Qasida a writers magazine. His ambition had always been to reveal what was sacred and Algeria did just that he went to Algeria for one month and one day he knew that the only way to find out the truth was to be involved and to inspest the victims of the algerian masacres. After This he released a book represented those victims "A Bleeding Paradise" The book went on and sold humungously. To this day the Writer, poet,journalist, editor of several magazines Nouri Al Jarrah continues to write his thoughts he now lives in Abu Dhabi The United Arab Emirates. and is working on a number of new projects the main ones being in internet
