The Texas Candy Ghost
Six Flags Over Texas was built in an area that was once horse trails and swamps. Legend has it a little girl was drowned in a well right about where Texas Candy is today (Texas Candy is the candy shop just up the hill from the entrance to the Texas Giant roller coaster). Annie has been rumoured to haunt there ever since. Workers at Texas Candy are often besieged with slamming doors, double ringing (a normal ring only rings once) on the phone and nobody on the line, and occasionally you can hear a little girl softly crying after the park closes. Many of the odd events can be explained away by pranksters, but I have heard and seen Annie myself. Once, as I was leaving the park at about one in the morning, I heard a little girl crying. Looking back toward Texas Candy, I saw a little girl up on a balcony looking out over the train tracks. I turned away to see if anyone else was around, and when I turned back, she was gone. There was no door to that balcony, and the only way I know of to get up there was with a ladder. Was it Annie? I like to think so.
