Appearing as the remains of long dead birds, carrion are the scourge of the Jagged Cliffs region. They hunt in groups, destroying any living being they find. Some defilers have been known to force them to serve as mounts. More often they are controlled by defiler wraiths.

Combat

Carrion are capable of attacking with both claws and their beak each round. If they have sufficient altitude, they can make a diving attack for double damage.
They inspire fear in all who see them. Creatures of less than 5 HD / levels must save vs Death Magic at -4. All others save as normal.
Despite their skeletal appearance, carrion are skilled flyers and have a maneuverability class of C, even when mounted. They are strong enough to carrion a man-sized rider and his equipment.

Habitat / Society

Carrion have no society of their own. They are frequently employed by defilers and undead as mounts.

Ecology

Carrion contribute nothing but death and destruction to any environment they come in contact with.
