Key-Card Gerber uses the jump to 4C like Gerber to ask for key cards. The obvious advantage is locating key cards at a lower level than Blackwood. The responses to this would be:
4D = zero or three key cards
4H = one or four key cards
4S = two key cards without the queen of trump
4NT = two key cards with the queen of trump
If both partners agree, the continuation of 5C is asking for kings, using the same responses above, and excluding the king of trump which has already been used as a key card. Most partnerships agree to utilize Key-Card Gerber over NT openings ONLY. Other agree that any jump to 4C when clubs has not been bid is key-card asking. Make sure you know your partnership agreement before using Key-Card Gerber.
