Calendar and Cosmology

The Mythian year is 295 days long and is divided into 8 months, with 9 days per week. The calender was developed by the scholar Sismondo Greeleth soon after the demons were banished and uses the banishing as the starting point. The years were originally called Passings Since Freedom, but the name has been shortened to Freepassing over time. The months are named after the First Heroes who led the Young Races to freedom. The rotational period of the moon Astell was used for the length of the first seven months and the period of Davia was used for the month of Drash. The days he named after the nine most commonly accepted gods.
